I so want to see you and Bigfoot reach the end. You are definitely being an inspiration. Two years ago my wife signed me up for Conqueror Challenges Virtual Challenges. I’ve been walking, running, hiking and biking pretty much daily since and log my daily mileage on their app/website to cover the distance and receive postcards with information about various points of interest on the trails that I complete. And contribute to either planting threes or removing plastic bottles from the oceans. I completed the Appalachian Trail last summer and am currently about 87% complete of the Pacific Crest Trail and could not pass up watching your journey. It’s been a motivation and makes me feel like I am cheating myself doing it virtually. It makes me think I should try to complete the PCT live and in person. Maybe seeing you complete it will give me that extra push to give it a try. Good luck, you got this. One foot in front of the next and repeat!!

I don't mind the views of Mt. Shasta, so pretty. Make sure to keep icing that ankle, looks like you still have quite a limp. Rooting for you to make all the way to Canada! Loving your journey and all the beauty you are sharing!

Good to see you guys hit the I-5 area on 4 Jul. Comparing your travels with another group of hikers here on YT (it appears you are neck and neck with them) and they by-passed the area on the west of I-5 and moved up to Seiad Valley due to the closure. As this posting is 13 days behind real time, I was hoping that you guys could have gotten thru this upcoming 159+ miles on trail before it was closed but better to be safe. Will wait for the update to see what you guys did when you come back up for air. Go Team Go but be safe !

Mt Shasta is revered by many for spiritual experiences ie, feeling a spiritual presence, cloud formations and visions. Maybe you will get some good vibes when there. Panther Meadows near the top has cooler temperatures, lots of beautiful springs, green flora. I enjoyed a dispersed camping stay up there a few years back. Nice zero or nero maybe if a trail angel could drive you up and back down the mtn. and if you had the time. I would have a spray water bottle to prevent heat exhastion, in spite of the extra weight if I was on the pct now. Praying for good health, well-being and safe journeys for you and Big Foot. 🙂🙏

Sooo glad your knee and ankle are better!!!!!! Definitely be cautious with the heat and don't overdo it!! In Cali we are having an extreme heat wave, 75 miles west of Tahoe, 10 days over 100 and a new record for us at 115!, Death Valley new record of 129!!!

When we hiked in sierras in July I describe the heat as I was cupcake batter and over baking in the oven. I could barely see. Great to see you being so cautious

Appreciated the minimal clip on the foot taping/repair. Planning Spring of 2026 PCT, had never heard of Leukotape before I started this research, and have been curious. Also wondering about more info on the "cat hole" and "pooping into a cat hole" procedure-you know, if you're cinematography itch is so inclined. Excellent work-will send a donation-if I can figure out how! Check out my (developing) channel when you get done: selling everything I own and going minimalist to support my 2026 PCT Venture!
