SO can't understand why you don't get more likes Sarah. Your tips are so much more PRACTICAL than most travel vloggers out there. (You should also mention that another great thing about that black dress is that it transitions well into colder weather cos you can layer UNDER it as well - I love the pinafore look)

Love your setting in Florence, Italy as an extra inspiration to follow your ideas, Sarah! Weighing clothes has definitely helped me decide which ones make the final list. Also, I hand wash every item at home, first, to check how long each item takes to dry. Some shirts surprised me and had to stay home. : )

Its Australia Day in here in Australia for I am having a marathon enjoying your videos Sarah. I have for a bit of fun put my Egypt, Greece and Turkey light carryon only bag together. It's 5.3KGS. might be 12lbs I think. I weigh my cloths too. Great video. Thanks Sarah. Also loved your tips for booking flights and just downloaded sky scanner to have a little fun with.

I only take 2 quick dry panties & wash 1 every night. It cuts down on space & u can bring an extra shirt or pant instead of them. Thanks for a great video. I live EF clothing. Perhaps talk about the material of the clothing as part of a video.

I started my Eileen Fisher silk tank collection from Poshmark, if it helps. Found two pants I love there also! I’ve learned so much from Sarah!

@@jillfinney8804 Aw thank you for the idea! I live in Norway and have heard of sites like Poshmark (and Thredup for the states and Canada), but paying import fees is expensive. I am thinking of sewing some clothes, if I can find silk that works for that. Or I may try Thredup when I visit my folks again. But thank you for writing, I take it as a kindness 💕

@@lynneeie5226 If you have Uniqlo and H&M available where you are I’ve found linen, linen blends, and merino wool pieces at good prices from both of those stores. The men’s section especially is good for solid basics!

Thanks -- many good ideas. Unfortunately, I tried the On gossamer panties and didn't like them at all. Kept riding up -- whatever stretch there is around the legs is not enough to keep them where they belong. And they're not cheap, either.

jockey makes a line of lightweight synthetic underwear and camisoles for travel. they are extremely comfortable-i wear them everyday.

Good advice. You have to show your cosmetic bag when checking in .... so it is not good to put it in the backpack. What is the weight of your backpack plus items?

Hi, Sarah! Finding your videos very informative and entertaining. I'm also a Tom Bihn fan! I like Eileen Fisher clothing as well. I do have one question: do you put the silks in a washing machine, or hand wash them? I noticed a lot of the labels recommend hand washing only. Thanks!

Hi Sarah! Would love to know which lightweight handbags/totes you could recommend for a sightseeing day. I know backpacks are not allowed in most museums. I have a nice mid size Travelon handbag with great compartments, but it is a bit "touristy".

Try the Lug brand, they started out making travel bags with great colors and no black interiors so you can see what you need. They have a lot of cute, slim crossbodys too! But once you buy one, you’ll become an addicted Lugnut and start collecting them! Lol

@@SarahMurdochadventures I take an empty small, travel spray bottle. Fill with water and spritz wrinkles - they fall out in seconds. No shower, steaming, or ironing needed!

It's at 4:16. She mentioned Fruit of the Loom first (presumably their lightest mesh style), and she also said OnGossamer, which I know from other videos is actually her favorite brand. Even though they're expensive, her rave reviews make me want to try them. ; - )

No need to be insulting. This was far from “useless”. For winter, if you have a silk longjohn set, it can go undetected under most clothing and really adds warmth. If you’re going somewhere extremely cold, make that a merino wool longjohn set. Then the secret is light layers, not bulky clothes. Make sure your socks are at least partly wool, never cotton, and bring a wool hat and gloves or mitts. If your extremities are warm, you’ll be warmer all over. Super lightweight and packable down jackets and coats are readily available. A wool scarf is useful as is a merino wool buff which can serve many purposes.
