Glad you guys chose this movie to react. These large scale productions are something else in the Indian movie industry. Check out Bajirao Mastani, which came earlier starring both Ranveer(the scarred villain here) and Deepika(lead female). Also, do a reaction on Manikarnika if you can. These movies are based on true stories with some elements here and there tweaked for the very purpose of entertainment. Padmaavat's release was an issue in India.
Peter Raj Bajirao Mastani was based on a true story but the story line was exaggerated in terms of artistic expression and if one googles or asks historians, these stories differ. As for Padmavati/Padmavaat, many historians believe that she did not exist based on historical findings but rather that she was based on a fictitious poem. Many people have their opinions but one should go to a historian for history in the same way that one would go to a doctor for illness.

If not then tell me Which values most for a child born from a invader and a slaved woman, a true loyalty towards his country in which that person got birth or a friendship which is offered from invader enemy on religion basis ?
