I discovered Barati accidently while searching youtube....and was I ever impressed!!! Barati, along with a host of other phenomenal EU talent rarely get the exposure the Americans get. And thats really a tragedy, since these folks truly represent the pinnacle of artistry, in societies that still value classical music and the arts. I practice hard almost every day, and after all these years, don't get a result like Barati and others. Only a violinist can appreciate the talent of another violinist!!!!
The Cadenza (of concerto number 2) by Barati is very lovely and the lead up to it is pure genius - that decrescendo at 47:30 is absolutely magical. Thank you Brilliant Classics!!!!
I know the first concerto is far more popular than any of the other five but the second is my favorite. That part beginning at 43:05 is very sweet.....
I agree with you appreciation of the greatness of Rabin and Kogan. But for me Barati's performance of the 1st Paganini concerto does not even come close to the brilliance of Rabin and Kogan's performances of the same concerto. They are simply a class above Barati.
This is good but no one can beat Salvatore Accardo's playing of Paganini's Concertos. Something about Accardo's playing is just so magical. He makes the music come alive like nobody else can, and he does it with such ease. His playing is a cut above the rest.
Excellent and brilliant performance. Just right. The spirit of Paganini is reflected. The higher notes can be more brilliant clem sharp and singing. The lower notes could be Miele heavier. Perhaps it's the violin. Garnering might be better for this work with a deeper sound.
No se escuchan habitualmente buenas interpretaciones de N Paganini...me parece que esta es de las mejores que he escuchado..después de Yehudi Menuhni...
This recording sounds pretty flawless to me... Could you provide some argument for your claim or is it merely personal opinion? (I am not being sarcastic at all, ok? I really would like to learn what am I missing here, if there is anything to be missed in first place).
