#mcfarlanetoys #superman #actionfigures Today, we continue our look at the new McFarlane Toys DC Direct 7" Page Punchers Superman! Also includes a smörgåsbord of headswaps! Follow 5POA Figure Reviews on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Despite the fact that this Superman is not the classic Superman we need need but to me, It is pretty close to one because we all definitely need a more classic silver age Superman from McFarlane. Great review Jason.
Just have to say this has been the coolest figure review I have seen in a long time! I have no idea how I have not heard of your channel until now. The review was Super awesome. You went on such a great detail and explanation without having a video be an hour lol. Great work!!!
Thank you so much for the headswaps. Every time there's a new figure I find myself imagining all the kitbash opportunites I can make with the new parts. If you get the Page Punchers Batman can you please put his head on the Arkham Asylum Batman? I made a kitbash using that body as the base and he currently has the rebirth head on. It's a bit small but looks good, however the page punchers Batman might be a better fit.
I bought this Superman fig when it came out, and it's a really nice figure. I was REALLY disappointed in those hands though. My best solution was to paint some shading into the recesses on the closed fists to make them look thinner. It's not great, but it did help. No way was I going to use the other hands
I just discovered your channel its Awesome that you show head swaps!! 🤯 My fav Superman body is the DK Returns one But I don't like the head sculpt so I searching for a new one!
this is more articulated than action comics 1000 he looks amazing in your collection and i like lee bermejo art of superman even though the red and blue is muted and no red loops in the belt i still like it
Can't wait for my to arrive. Another great review! As for that 5th dimension imp I believe it's pronounced mix-yez-pittle-ick. Love that character but man that name, lol
True story, I once watched a compilation of every appearance he ever made in a cartoon or show to get the pronunciation right, and they said it differently in every one lol I just stick with the way Gilbert Gottfried explained it on Superman the Animated Series, but even I say it differently depending on how fast I am talking ha
I have seen that other people have done it, so I'm sure there's a way. I would assume that if you heat it up it will either wiggle out if the glue softens, or you'll be able to just cut it with an xacto. I haven't tried myself.
Oh yeah this is what I am talking about it's a review of the dc direct page punchers 7 inch superman figure today are you going to review the batman too, as well as later the dc multiverse superman worlds of war as well my man?
@@MasteroftheStorms You can heat the figure up and it will soften the glue enough that you can pry it off. However, the logo is pegged into his chest, so if you take off the logo, there is a big hole underneath. To get a good idea of what I am talking about, check out the Custom CW Kingdom Come Superman Figure video by Void City Reviews. You'll be able to see the hole and what you'd be working with.
@@5POAFigureReviews Thank you so much man. Any ideas for filling that hole? I was thinking like hardening clay or something but I want to ask someone who's had experience with this.
I originally shot several bits comparing it to Routh but I cut it for time. After all the comments I have gotten nothing the resemblance, I really wish I'd left them in lol
This is by far the best Superman body mold. Change the colors to a more vibrant red and blue, give it smaller hands and fist, a better cape, and a new classic head sculpt and then we’d have the definitive Superman.
Although I don't like it as much, rebirth is in better scale with most other DC Multiverse figures and is a closer approximation of a classic superman. If you're willing to hold out though, I'd suggest maybe waiting for the upcoming Hush Superman. It's the same body as rebirth, but in classic colors
@@5POAFigureReviews not a big fan of the Hush Superman's head so I think I'll just settle with the rebirth Superman. Thanks for the great review and helping me make up my mind on which Superman to buy.👍
If you can only have one, Rebirth will fit in better with more of your DC Multiverse collection. As a figure though, I like this better. Just remember he doesn't look completely traditional, his hands are too big, and he is a little short.
Best Superman figure from McFarlane Toys so far IMHO, one of my best figs from them. Personally I love the belt on this, and I've always felt belt loops on Superman is comically stupid in every way possible.
I love this figure as well but why is the skin so damn pale? They need to rerelease this figure with better skin and with the classic royal blue and bright red suit!! And that would be the greatest Superman figure to date in my opinion!! Oh yeah make the hands smaller too 👌
Those hands are ridiculously large. Thanks for letting me know. Aside from that it's a great figure, think I'll buy it. 5:58 Jeff Bezos head sculpt. Not good.
One thing I dislike is Superman’s scale in the Mcfarlane line. It’s like Todd absolutely hates the guy by making his figures just off and him super short in comparison to the rest of the league it’s just weird and off putting for Superman when he stands next to the flash who no matter what new figure Superman gets is almost a head taller than him.
It took me a bit to warm up to him, I will be honest. And if I wasn't such an admirer of Lee Bermejo's art I don't think I could have. That and it reminds me a lot of Brandon Routh, who I also like a lot. Still, it won't be for everyone.
I'm kicking myself because I actually did film a bunch of comparisons to Brandon Routh but cut them for time. Now that everyone is commenting on it, I really wish I'd left it in.
