I’ve used this product for a long time, and Langka WILL damage softer clear coats (Toyota products). If you carefully fill the chip with a toothpick, and layer the coats until a very small amount is above the surface, it will level easier than dropping a heavy blob that overflows the chip cavity. **One very important step is timing the removal using Langka** DO NOT let it harden overnight. I wait maybe 45 minutes depending on temperatures, and gently level with a small amount of product.
I appreciate the video. I've been struggling on how to deal with a couple of rock chips on my car. I bought the factory touch up paint and was looking for a simple video on how the best use this Langka Blob stuff. Repainting my hood will be very expensive, now I know the pluses and minuses of your simple repair. It may not be a great match, but it's much better than bare metal.
Ehh. That looks horrible, IMO. Maybe the color difference between the aged and new paint. Wet sand with 2000 grit with very light pressure, then 3000, then compound, then polish. Blends in perfectly on my Black Sapphire with BMW touchup. I skip the clear.
white is very difficult to match %100, you got ivory, off white, metallic pearl, flat pearl, powder/sparkle etc, probably not noticeable from a distance.
