How bad is your Daily Driver under a light? Could it use some love? With the Ceramic coating I'm excited to protect the car, but also make washing the car a little easier. Next time we go to Craft Detailing, Lia will teach us proper rinseless hand washing to keep the car looking fresh.

It is bad, a whole Wisconsin winter with no wash. I went on amazon yesterday because the snow is melting and I wanted new detail supplies. I ended up getting over $150 of stuff. I better have one clean Saab after this!

I love it! My daily is 24 years old so I take the DONT LOOK TO CLOSE approach when correcting a panel. However having a regular cleaning routine for the car isn´t just spa for the car. Its also very calming and satisfying for me personally. Getting up close and cleaning all the intricate little details and cracks, door jambs and co is very enjoyable to me personally. Well everything BUT cleaning the wheels is enjoyable. Doing one (BBS multi multi multi spoke😂) is fun´ish. But then I remember that there are 3 more to go... ✌️

I am in Manchester, NH. Looks like tomorrow (Monday) afternoon after the rain showers clear out, or waiting until Wednesday are your best bets this week to wash. :) I am impressed with the depth of shine the ceramic coating gave the car. I have a 2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost with 96K miles, silver. I usually clay bar it and wax it twice a year, but it's not as good as your car looked after they were done. I'll have to check them out.

OMG that paintwork looks amazing, and the carbon is literally magnified through the beads 8:33 I wanna ceramic coat my cars someday, but jeez I just can’t justify spending thousands of dollars. For now I don’t mind putting a fresh coat of wax on every few months. It still beads water and looks shiney so it’s fine

Yes! Scheduled the work for the second week of March. I think it’s just the end links in rear but if control arm bushings are shot we’ll replace it all

You should have coated your wheels too. I coat mine yearly with gtechniq C5 and it makes cleaning so easy. Basically can host off all of the brake dust and carbon deposits.

I don't get why some people are so obsessed with aesthetics, I know quite a few folks that can't even stand looking at their car if it's dirty and almost go nuts if they find out a new dent or some small scratch. Meh, i'm definitely not like that. I take good care of my cars and they're mechanically perfect. And yep, sometimes I wash them ;)

981 is incredible. The base is painfully slow but the chassis is great. I’d advise an S and if you can find one with the limited slip diff you’re really in business

if you have a black car i highly recommend using turtle wax hybrid solutions black spray wax, it's like $20 bucks tops. look at reviews on yt. people snap their necks after i use this stuff car looks like a mirror.

I’ve tried similar stuff on my m5 which is carbon black. It makes it shiny but the swirls are still very apparent. Not saying it’s bad but there’s no real short cuts when it comes to paint. My tolerance for swirls is pretty high so cheaper solutions aren’t bad for diy stuff

Best to call the shop and get an estimate. Every car may need a different level of effort and customer expectations play a big role. Like If you wanted a concours finish it’s going to take much more than what you saw in the video. Plus I’d assume the size and complexity of a car would also factor in.

They used the clay pads. You can see them doing it near the decontamination step. Basically like a big square of clay

Orbital buffers don’t ruin your paint like you say they will. Technique is what will mess something up. Just because someone does not check your clear coat depth does not mean they willl ruin your paint just saying

Will you do a video on the repairs and maintenance items you’ve had to do since buying it along with your maintenance protocols?

I will make that video. What you'll learn though is that just about every car is a brittle money pit if you use it hard enough. Every car has a weak link whether its rod bearings, head studs, or timing belts/chains.

Expect to pay around 300-500 dollars depending on how much correction you want. Good detailing doesn't come cheap

@@TedwardDrives Well, personally I crashed my E39 last tuesdays and I will have to repair atleast the panels if not the whole car, I gotta do it even if I want it or not, and hence is the infamous Toledoblue Metallic, that's going to hurt if the paint isn't going to be the right one, so.. yeah I know how you feel.

It certainly looks nice, but these ceramic coatings do nothing to protect from salt damage in wheel well crevices and where bumper covers meet fenders.

@@TedwardDrives should be done regardless of level of correction - it avoids debris pickup if the pad were to run over a crevice not cleaned entirely. Results look good though. My bimmer also ceramic coated.

previous owner repainted the whole car, after one year the sun did its own thing, but what worries me the most is the carbon fiber roof, the coating is all dry up and yellowish and torn up. Basically I need to re do the whole thing. Poor M6
