VERY NICE ,IVE PAINTED 40 OR 50 SAWS OF ALL SIZES OVER THE LAST 40 YEARS AND ITS NICE SEEING SOMEONE ELSES TAKE ON THE OLD SAWS ,IT GIVES THEM A SECOND LIFE ,,WELL DONE

I've been wanting to try painting a couple old saw blades my husband has, but he says I need to sand them down to bare metal, otherwise the rust will bleed through. I'm curious what prep you do to get your blade ready for paint.

I use kilz primer.
