Solar: makes incredibly detailed lure with gill detail also with fancy wood. Me: makes bait with very little details and with Home Depot pine 2x4. LOL! Happy late thanksgiving and a happy early Christmas.
A few years ago I followed your carving technique for scale detail. the lures turned out awesome. the fish in my profile was caught on my very first outing with my new lure. And I have had many since. Love your videos. I am surprised you didn't carve the scales in. It is an awesome technique and allows better painting options. thanks...
Killer work as always Mikko. I use most of the same techniques to build my blanks so it's always cool watching you and comparing/learning. Next you need to invest in a drill press. LOL!
Wow just heard youre from alberta! I chase pike in Northern saskatchewan and just made a shift to big muskie lures and its made a huge difference. I think you've inspired me to give this a shot when ice fishing slows down!
I was actually wondering if that Ryobi belt sander is worth it, I got their scrollsaw and it does wonders. You're a great inspiration, I share many of the same ideas but you test them before I and It saved me so much time. Thank you
If you live in Alberta Canada there is a bunch of spots that are open water year around. The fish in my profile picture was caught in January open water
Dude, i dont usually comment videos, but i was HOOKED with your popper video and proceded to watch every video you have. People like you are the kind on which investors put their money on, keep on with your work. There are some youtubers from australia who would LOVE to use your lures. You should make a collab with them, they are super cool guys. BROOKSY (brooksy fishing), BRIGGSY(briggsy sport fishing), and CAVY(cavy) are their names
Another great lure, just hope you're going to find something big enough to take it! I thought you may have problems graduating the colour change by hand so don;t blame you for swapping, excellent final result tho. No need to apologise for your pronunciation it's better than mine and i'm English!!
Excellent work. You sir are truly an artist. I'm working on a few one piece glide baits and was wondering about lead placement. Would you reccomend placing all of the weight in a central position or spacing it throughout the length of the bait? Keep up the great work.
Another AMAZING Bait !!! Why didn't you reverse the "Scale Tool" to get the reverse scale lines ??? Would be a lot easier ...... ??? Really enjoying your content !!!
Absolutely gorgeous lure! I have a question for you, do you ice fish? It's getting to be that time of year and I'm curious. I've been subscribed for a very VERY long time, and I dont recall any ice fishing videos or ice fishing lure making videos.
It realy looks amazing, if you want someone to test some baits for you let me know i am a pike and perch angelar from holland, i realy handmade custom baits. Great job
Hi mate what wood you use to make your wobbler. The super bait you do for me you're like an artist and it's great painting. In Poland can not buy them and I would very much like to have some such wonderful lures.
There are 30 pound plus pike in the sask river and go the next province over to saskatchewan and you have monster 30 lb plus pike in tobin lake and the sask river. I make the same lures as miko just as big and just as fancy and fish them as often as i can. And catch lots of big fish on them in the saskatchewan river. Remember a fish will take a lure or a prey fish half its body length. I have caught small 8 pound pike on 7 and 8 " cedar lures as well as walleye on those same size 7 to 8" lures.
@@thatsmallrockshop yes there are big fish out there but they are not nearly as common to catch as they were 20 years ago. Northern Saskatchewan diffinately has more big fish, alberta still has some but they are few and far between. I caught my first pike over 20lbs last summer, been fishing alberta waters for 25 years (mostly central, heavily preasured waters) More than likely your going to catch pike the size of the lure featured in this video lol.
