Just learning to play with ceramic coating; stocks, grips, various parts....bunch of fun....both metal & polymer. I got alot of good tips from your video. thank you for your time...excellent video
I like your attention to detail and explanation on reasons why you do what your about to to do, I wish you had a business doing this, I need a scope coated in burnt bronze. Keep up the good work.
I do have a business. The local gun store keeps me as busy as I want to be. I'm sure you can find someone doing cerakote in you area. There are a lot of us out there.
That's really good to know about that, I've been leery to put an optic in the oven, but I guess a sunny day in the car would be not much different. when you Flashed the Objective bell, what temp did you flash at? I noticed you baked the remainder at 180 it looks like? Thanks for the great videos, Just finished doing a wood stock up for a friend using the same ish methods in one of your videos, came out superb.
No, i dont adjust the pressure down. The pressure it only 25 psi or so at the tip. Plus Cerakote goes on so thin it does not affect the movement of the parts that cannot be removed
I had a rubber plug on one end and used vinyl on the other side. I use vinyl on both ends now it usually easier than trying to find a plug that fits right
How do you hang the scope in the oven when you cure it if you don’t have that rubber piece? I’m getting ready to do a primary arms 1-6 glx scope but not sure if the heat would ruin it or not even on a low temp like 150 for a couple hours.
@jaydonballman1135 I have a "Y" shaped spring steel wire that I hook the threads of one end and hang it that way. If you have some thin wire you can wrap the adjustment knob and put the cap back on, that works too
