I did check out the website. It is LITERALLY what I’ve been looking for for my 7th gen accord coupe. The online paint stores I found were all wholesale only. Cant buy “just enough”. My funds aren’t there yet but I’ll def remember this video once I get there

I’m a mechanic by trade but now I’m working on cleaning up the paint on my Tarmac Black Evo 8 Ralliart. Sanding front bumper down to 200 grit with an orbital sander. Body is a 7/10 paint wise but has Lots of little scratches and swirls along the body. It’s not enough to need to wet sand down below 1k grit but it’s still daunting trying to wrap my head around doing it all myself. I have the practical knowledge to paint but not the beforehand knowledge to get it prepped for paint fully lol. This video gives a lot of information and detail that has been previously unknown to me and gives the confidence to feel more comfortable about respraying the body. Product is definitely sick s/o to Spray Source for developing this product. Color Looks sick Evan good work on this one man.

I learned about the Spudger tool when I started doing my own liquid wraps. Then, like 5 years later, I started working in a factory making braking/sensor electric control modules, and they used them there. Was kinda cool seeing the same tool used in such varying industries!

I learned how to paint on my own over the past 5 years. I've made many mistakes and I still do. I always spray my metalics and pearls from a farther distance on the last coat or the last 2 coats. helps even everything out.

With big panels like the hood you need a float/dust coat with the final layer of metallic in the clear while it’s still wet it helps all the metallic lay the same and hide any smaller tiger striping. You will have to redo the hood, you always paint front to back never side to side. And try to give yourself a 50% overlap each pass. I’ve been doing custom and restoration over 10 years and rarely shoot in a booth using the water floor cleaning method and end up with perfect results almost every time

@evanshanks you did a good job. Metallic is hard because you get striping or tiger striping like you did. You have to paint from multiple angles to get a uniform coat. Great job and understand it’s hard. Your not perfect but your practicing and will get good!

Woah. Checked out the site and their prices are more than reasonable. I was expecting 3-4x more than what it was. Don’t have a project car that needs paint but if/when I do, seems like a no brainer.

Hey i dont know if you’re interested but i do have a genuine qualitat body kit for sale. ( originally came in a midnight blue color from russia ). Side skirts, rear bumper and front bumper with fog lights included. I dont know man just putting it out there. Had it in storage for over 2 years. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t understand spending the money and then having the guy out and then trying to diy while he’s there. And there overspray on the tails. “Drift car”, I get it, but thirty mins later i feel it was all rushed
