It's long overdue to give this 1988 Ford F700 some love. It puts up a fight sometimes, but with any luck it will still make me a little money this summer.
Just found your channel today. Looking to get a single axle dump truck myself to start up my own business. Just starting my research and your channel has helped me to know what to look out for when buying a "new to me" used dump truck. Paint job looks great by the way! Subscribed!
Way too late to the game but.... always apply paint from the top down. Spray the roof 1st.. 2 reasons.. less chance of leaning into the fresh coat on the sides. The other is the over spray from the top will dull the paint down on the sides leaving it not as glossy. I also would have mask off the engine compartment so over spray wouldn't leave a mess under the hood. Just an old retired bodyman who spent thirty-five years making them look better.
I’m in Virginia, but I wouldn’t be interested in painting for profit; I’m just not good enough for that and it’s a lot of prep work. These trucks are old enough, it’s better to do it yourself as best as you are able as these trucks aren’t all that valuable. Typically you get more into them then they are worth, but at least they make money.
