After spraying PPG envirobase for 2 years as my first gig to now spraying with Spies solvent for 6 months, I can see with utmost certainty that Envirobase is worlds better.

What are you doing with these rubber lined fuel door pockets? I’m still torn on pulling them vs cleaning cleaning cleaning and masking knowing it’s not going to be perfect. Some of them are nearly impossible to get out in one piece without damage to the pocket.

Gabe I’ve been struggling with color matching on almost all colors ever since ppg discontinued the chip deck and all we have is a camera that doesn’t match well and seems like I’m spending too much time making other variants or trying to tint

I heard something about this possibly happening. I spray envirobase as well but I hope they don’t take my chips lol. The new camera works fairly well but every now and then it’s just plain wrong and even sometimes what it says is the best match really isn’t.

@@outdoor_lifestyle_0149 yea it really feels like it’s counterproductive. I would honestly say 70% of the camera results are off. Not even blendable. Seems like the blues come out WAY too red and the grey are always off. But yea so far it’s been my least fav paint line to spray.

Have they changed the way you apply enviro base I thought it was single coats but I think I did hear they have a new binder to make it a 1 visit application Do you prefer it as 1 application

@@TheHumblePaintSprayer333 I thought the same. Cause I sprayed Cromax waterborne, UT goes on back to back and then orientation if metallic.
