Omg, fantastic work on the replica. Great choice!! Love all the history and facts, as well as how you explained the water down shadowing technique. Thank you for always including your paint selection at the start! Helps a lot! Can’t wait for the next one. Hope it doesn’t take as long, though I think it was worth it based on how it turned out!
Oh thank you so, so much! I appreciate the encouragement! Comments like yours help me with the direction of this channel... I'm still trying to figure out my format so feedback is super valuable. If there is ever a piece of concept art you'd like me to try, let me know :)
@@children_of_the_craft My pleasure. I am totally engaged in your channel, I’ve never left comments on other videos before!! Sounds great re if I come across one that I want you to try to recreate! I tried the Eyvind Earle lady and the tramp piece that you did and I’m happy with the turn out! I’ll have to share it with you over Instagram! I ended up doing another with a similar mood too! Thanks for the inspiration and breaking it down so easily. You’ve taken the fear out of trying for me!
Thank you for sharing! I've painted countless reproductions over the years of the Sleeping Beauty background paintings and some concept art, so it was nice to discover this one which I haven't seen yet :)
Oh cool! I'm happy to meet another fan, and reproducer of the Sleeping Beauty backgrounds! And very cool that I could introduce you to one you haven't seen before :) Thanks for leaving a comment!
Always love your videos! I would just like to request if you could go in depth about your color mixing. The history is fun but already accessible. What I would love to understand is how Eyvind and Mary (and you) made those colors! I would gladly pay for that knowledge if you had some forum where that is offered. Keep it up, these are so special and no one else is doing them!
Thank you so much for the compliment and this very useful suggestion! I'll cover more colour mixing and theory in my next video for sure. And yes, the history is definitely accessible. I guess I'm trying to emulate the channels I really enjoy, the ones that gather facts and pair them with related images. I think you're right though, I could find a better balance between technique and historical facts. Thanks! I'm excited to do the next one soon. And to answer your question about a forum, yes, I do offer classes! Here is a link to my website. I offer private Zoom classes and can adjust the lesson plan depending on what you want to learn. childrenofthecraft.myportfolio.com/booking-lessons
Thank you for existing please make more eywind and Mary pictures, and if you could replicate more of Disney and also many Hannah barbera, I’d also love to se a digital tutorial if possible. I wish I knew how to paint like Claude coats
Thank you for your comment! I will make more! I love Claude Coats and will replicate him soon :) maybe I'll do a piece of his digitally....? Thanks for the suggestion!
