Hi everyone! If you want to paint with me over Zoom, I'm teaching classes this summer with limited registration, so it will be an intimate and super fun experience! Follow this link to get all the info:

In this video I replicate Mary Blair's groovy concept art from Disney's (1951) Alice in Wonderland. I love this composition and how it really sets the tone for the Mad Hatter's tea party, where Alice is excited, yet overwhelmed by all the action.... which is how I have felt over the past few weeks. My trip to NY was more amazing than I had hoped for, but way too short. There is SO much to see there! Overwhelmed in the best possible way, I felt like Alice, trying to take everything in. I must go back!
CORRECTION: The illustrator who did the original artwork for Lewis Carol's Alice in Wonderland was John Tenniel (1820 - 1914) NOT whatever I said his name was in the video.
