Musk ox is actually warmer than polar bear but alpaca is up there for sure. Musk ox is REALLY expensive though and a sweater made from it would cost over 1k. Paka make a solid hoodie . Appalachian Mountain Gear make alpaca hoodies as well and are equally as well made. Nice review. You will enjoy those socks, trust me.

I was looking into getting one of those, but when I look at the specs on them it said something like 50% alpaca 35% wool 15% pet, so I said no. I would have been happy with 80% alpaca 20% nylon
