Sa mga restaurants talagang ganyan hindi nila kinakaliskisan, but for me mas gusto ko na kinakaliskisan ang bangus sa ganitong recipe. Kung inihaw na bangus yan ang gusto ko may kaliskis to protect from burning. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Ito ang dinner namin ngayon ang sarap ! God bless.

Wow the clay pot is real eh...I've learned a new or another ways of cooking paksiw!And mind you with bitter gourd or bitter melon, even interesting!I haven't tried or seen someone done it before only now!Guess it's a must try...Looks good..

Maraming salamut! That is the closest to the recipe I watched elders make when I was a little kid. The only thing missing was the bitter melon flower blossoms. I cant wait to try making this dish soon!
Yung lola ko ganyan mag luto ng paksiw na bangus, kahit sa prito hindi nya kinakaliskisan, ang sarap nung kaliskis lalo na pag malutong ang pagka prito.😊

Thank you for sharing your recipe. Sometimes i need to remember the ratio of water and vinegar. I grew up with the same recipe with slight variation and longer cooking time. When we were younger we add a couple of slice pork fat belly. But now, since we're no longer getting younger we add olive oil😃

I can see, the bangus is so fresh, I’m from Dagupan that’s why . My version is , I put everything all together and add a little cooking’s oil if you want it fancy 😊

Alam nyo guys pinaka da best na bangus at, galing pure bangus dagat (hindi breeding) kasi hindi malansa at mas masarap kaya lng bibihira lng tlga merong mahuli huli na marami. Sila ng tilapia dagat (hindi breeding), mas malinamnam at hindi malansa gaya ng breeding na tilapia at bangus. Kng ang bangus ng Iloilo ay the best dhl dumi ng kalabaw or baka (natural grass at hindi dumi ng manok or baboy etc.) pinapakain sa breeding nila. Pero sabi ko nga da best tlga ang bangus or tilapia dagat hehehe mandaragat mga titos ko kaya madalas ako nakakatikim ng galing dagat at natry ko narin comparison ng breeding at hindi. Masuwerti ka Dazz. Kaming nasa labas ng Pinas (OFWa at immigrant), pasalamat na lang kami kong may bangus na mabibili sa tindihan. Syiempre yong bangus galing pa dyan sa Pinas kaya hindi bagung huli. Fresh frozen na. Saka yong mga bangus o tilapia breeding. Bata pa ako nung nag immigrate ang mga magulang dito sa US. Palagi kong naririnig sa kanila na mas masarap ang mga isda sa Pinas dahil bagong huli. Ako naman di ko pinapansin. Pero fast forward to 20 years later, at ilang ulit na bakasyon sa Pinas, napag-isip isip ako na tama pala ang mga magulang ko na mas masarap ang mga isda sa Pinas dahil mga bagong huli. Bihira ang bagong huli dito, bagong defrost kamo ... LOL!!!
