With everything going on in Palestine. These clips are so humbling and heartwarming. Thank you for keeping the Palestinian cuisine alive and thank you for being you. Long live Palestine 🇵🇸
@@Valley_Girl there is no need to fight. Regular citizens are caught in the middle and I don’t think anyone has a right to say crap or pass judgment. This young lady is doing cooking videos. Not political videos. So don’t go starting crap when another commenter was trying to commend this person.
I'm absolutely in love with her. I really hope she starts to upload more.. her channel has so much potential, I assumed she has around 4m by looking at her content. She's a hidden gem!!
Hi Nadia, I have just discovered your site, I'm seriously impressed. I love your enthusiasm and your personality. Really like the recipe, looks yummy, I will be trying it. Thank you!
ive been feeling uninspired with food lately and decided that i wanted to start making foods from all around the world and your channel randomly showed up on my page so thank you for your recipes, they all look delicious!
i'd love to see more vegan protein recipes! I love the ful mudammas video, I've made it several times. I'm blessed to be by an Ethiopian neighbourhood where the beans can be easily bought.
Just bumped into your channel. I am enjoying the vegetarian alternatives which I also do with traditional Hungarian and Eastern European recipes. You have a delightful way of sharing the passion of cooking. Thank you, Nadia!
Working my way towards a plant based diet. It's so refreshing to find channels like yours that make me excited to cook! I'm one of those weird people who is always looking to challenge myself in the kitchen and your background and recipes give me something new to tackle. Thank you for your cooking and the way you present it. Hope you are well.
Are you not worried about the possible negative outcomes when switching to plant based diet? I see and read a lot of ex-vegan stories and it's horrifying me. Specially when sometimes you could see their physical and health decline over time.
@@B.H.1987 Not necessarily. Nutrition isn't animal specific. Yes, I've seen the ex vegan videos like that but I have also known a 20 year plant based diet friend who is healthier than a horse. At the end of the day as long as you are getting proper nutrition to lead a healthy lifestyle then I think it's gonna be ok.
@@Andydresful Fair enough. Just make sure you monitor your health and if things don’t work out the way you wanted them to be, then change and tweak your diet. Good luck! 👍
I visited the Palestine Museum about a month and a half ago, and when I asked one of the museum hosts/administrators (?) what was her favorite Palestinian food, she showed me your youtube channel! I just finished making these potato pies and they were delicious. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe
Wow Nadia. I have been in search of channels that celebrate Palestinian food and I've hit the jackpot with you. I'm half Palestinian and these recipes really allow me to further embrace that part of my identity. Thank you
I came across your channel after subscribing to lots of Palestinian channels to try and stay up to date on what is going on. Your videos are so beautiful and comforting. Keep doing the amazing work you do and keep the beautiful culture alive! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this wonderful channel. We're in Lockdown 3 here in London UK and these recipes have brought us much needed joy and inspiration. We'll definitely try these pies. Health & happiness to you all.
I just found you and I am loving your content! I am from South America and grew up eating middle eastern food and even would see my mother cook things like Lebanese rice and lentils and this is all the inheritance that we got from the Arabs when they immigrated to my hometown the early 1920s. I loooove all this and can't wait to watch all your videos. Thank you.
I'm new to Nadia's channel and am enjoying and learning so much about foods that some I've eaten but nothing like her deeeeelicious recipes. Thank you, Nadia.
Yes!!! I was hoping to see this soon! Made your ful mudammas this morning (with the onion soaked in EVOO). One of my favourite breakfasts now, for sure. Thank you!
This looks amazing! I stumbled upon your video & will definitely be making them & the spinach, maybe also meat versions this weekend. Thank you for the introduction to Palestinian food 🇵🇸🍉
I only recently discovered your channel and love love love your recipes. Many moons ago I was married to a Palestinian man and although it did not work out I miss so much of the culture and especially the food. You are a very talented cook!
My only criticism is that you aren't making many many more of these videos on a much more regular basis. These are all so much fun and so great to watch. Inspired. Thanks.
These pies look really good, Nadia! It’s gonna be my next project. I have done mana’eesh with your recipe several times. Love it! Thank you for all your recipes, they are delicious!
i love ur confidence & sense of humour ur smiles are infectious & u might be interested to know tell every one u know to use cast iron pans & not non stick ...... the second point i want to make arab food is one of the healthiest to consume !
I just discovered you today...somehow it gave me peace seeing you well and having a normal life as opposed to the images from Palestine I had been seeing since Ramadan. Wish you and your family happiness and health. Love from Bangladesh
Love this recipe. Made them with some ground cashews in lieu of cheese, and loved them. My favourite empanada filling used to be sauteed onion and celery, mixed with some blue cheese (and walnuts for luxury). Now I am vegan I have not made them yet, but you inspired me and I will try and find a vegan alternative to the blue cheese texture and taste. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hello. I just discovered your channel today, enjoying it so much I subscribed. I am looking forward to trying your recipes. Quick question for you... I noticed your skin looks so healthy and not a lot of make up, it seems which is great, what do you use on your skin. Curious if you use olive oil daily, etc. Thanks for your time and great content! Tamara
Hi! I'm new to your channel, just subscribed 🤗. Could you please list the ingredients in the description box for all your videos ... makes it much quicker when putting my shopping list together! I've never cooked Palestinian food before, but your videos already have me hooked! ❤
i’m half palestinian, my father used to make a dish i absolutely love, called warak dawali (i think...) it’s stuffed grape leaves :) would be fun to see u do a recipe on it! i love cooking and ur recipes bring back memories of my dad’s cooking :)
That sounds very similar to Romanian's "Sarmale in foi de vita" an influence from the Ottoman Empire - they're basically rice+meat+vegetables fried, stuffed into vine leaves that are stored in salt, rolled and boiled in a big pot. simonacallas.com/2018/07/sarmale-in-foi-de-vita/
Hello, Thank you for the years of enjoyment I have had watching you make fantastic healthy dishes for all of us to enjoy. I have made some of them and found them to be something I wanted to include in my weekly meal planning. I have never been to the middle east, but if the food your showing us is an example of what is served in the homes of your family and the Palestinian people, then I cry a little inside that I have missed all that flavor for all of my life. Please put up a recipe for your Zaatar that you used in your 'Ful Madammas video. It looked like something you made yourself or you said it was from Genneen ? (spelling) I have not seen Zaatar sold in stores that look like the spice you were using, most of them are some variation of brown to red color, but yours had sesame seeds and looked very green and tasty. I want to try that very much. You might want to make a few video's of your favorite spice mixes that you make yourself, and show everyone how they can make them as well. So many cultures make and use their own spice blends and each one is different from the one their neighbors make with the same name. Here in America we always just buy our spices and our mixes like Lawrey season salt product, are mostly factory made. Our grocery store spice section sell hundreds of blended spice mixes and blends, that could be very old, and made from any type of spice or herb grade. Sorry for the long run on post. I just hope you will share with us your herb and spice blends that you keep on your spice shelf.
Awesome 😎 recipe for supercharged leftover mash potatoes 🥔. Gonna make this using barrel aged feta, spinach, seasoned with toasted ground coriander 🌿 (cilantro) & cumin seeds. Served with trio of dips yoghurt & mint, tamarind sauce, pomegranate molasses. 🤤
You could brush them with a coat of egg wash before baking them they'll look nice . But they are very good the way they are .. Cheers from Portland Oregon.
I just found you and your recipes and loved it. I couldn’t find your other pies that you mentioned as part of the 4 part series. I have questions about what cooking oil you use. I know that EVO is for drizzling but do you cook with light cooking olive oil or grape seed oil?
Welcome!! The recipes for the other pies are all on my channel uploaded around February of 2020. This one went up a year later quite delayed! I cook with grapeseed oil for all high heat cooking - sometimes avocado oil if I have that. I never use a "light" olive oil or canola/vegetable oil.
baste with egg white to brown more evenly........we make these in Japan with traditional Japanese curry. We turned many many Palestinian recipes into Japanese-ish versions :-) YUM!!!
this looks as delicious as ever, thank you for sharing! i think a muajannat making party is in order the next time i get together with my friends, complete with a wide variety of fillings.
Félicitations, maşallah vos recettes sont parfaites et très bien expliquées! Suggestions pour vos prochaines vidéos Madame : fatayir with + types of filling, kebbe fried balls.
as a north african and syrian, despite not being palestinian, my family would make similar dishes to this, we would call it potato-kibbeh. totally to die over
Will you please make a video of baklava and other healthy sweet dish. And also please make something with blueberry, strawberry, dates, dried nuts and seeds, which can be kept for longer time. Not sweet using sugar would be preferred and nutritional values should be intact as much as possible. Please sister. May lord blesses you with all the beautiful gifts
