Panasonic GH6 | Test Shoots and Comparisons 

I trust you because I followed your journey from the GH4 days. I miss those days when you were filming (and playing) with your friends. While those old videos may not as been quite as polished, the fun factor was magical. Love this new camera.

Great video! Most camera review RU-vidrs have incredibly lazy, boring or poorly done shots from a new body they’re discussing. I really appreciate your production value and time put into this review.

What a time to be alive. All the cameras these companies put out are just amazing. It starts to make no sense to compare them since all of them are perfect. Panasonic, Sony, Canon, DJI all of them introduced cameras that perform to such high standards we should feel luxurious.

Considering your history with Panasonic cameras starting with the GH4, and the influence you've made on many people's decisions regarding it (I bought a GH4 as my first camera mostly because of your videos), it's great that you get to test out and showcase a very strong and capable new piece of gear. These low light tests were amazing, and I've watched a dozen reviews on this camera and none of them were like yours at all, in terms of the depth you went into to show the differences. Job well done. This is the first review that actually made me want to buy the gh6.

@andyax where has the time gone. I remember I came across your videos when I started putting things on Camera in 2014 during my sophomore year in college. Thank you for the effort spend in putting the GH6 through it's paces. It really seems, Panasonic have managed to create a worthy successor to the GH5, that even exceeded on a whole new level, what the GH5 II brought us just 9 months ago.

Happy to see that my GH4 is still quite competitive compared to it’s much never successors. A used GH5 will have a nice price level the day my GH4 (bought used) gives up 😇 And then GH6 awaits further down the line…

It is great to watch your content. I haven't been this excited about a camera in years. We need some comparison videos vs. the BMPCC6KPRO. Of course, the GH6 would be a smooth camera for content creators who need a run and gun camera and shoot a lot on their own. The BM is more of a Cinema Camera in. Look forward to more of your productions with this camera. :)

One little advice from a 6-years fan of the Channel: Use the old Andyax Music that was composed by Thomas, it has the soul of this channel. The new music really doesn't have that unique Andyax vibe.

Great review and exciting camera. I still use the GH5s but will upgrade to this camera early next year.

Amazing video as always. Best gh6 review so far. I would love to see how this camera with its amazing world class ibis can save me money. Can’t it replace a slider, tripod, and a gimbal. Smooth footage without needing to build it out into a heavy cinema rig so no extra cost for cages, handles, plates, v mount batteries etc.

Hi from the UK, bought a GH4 a month ago. Previously a couple of years ago the GH3. Rigging it with cage, shoulder rig, Atomos Ninja V at the moment. Next purchase a camera mountable field recorder and shotgun mic. Have a couple of camera mountable LED panels and a halogen daylight mini light. Better lights will have to be a later purchase with some second hand C stands. Love the videos. Subscribed a few months ago, then scrolled through your vids and was shocked about Eskild. Keep up the good work. By the way as I was in the photography store the Panasonic guy was really selling me on the GH6, but I resisted and will wait till it comes up second hand in a few years, what with my Ninja V and a GH6 4K 120fps RAW. But I was nearly swayed on swopping the lot for a Blackmagic 6K Pro, but that means changing all my lenses, no use getting a speedbooster for M4/3rds lenses to fit a Canon EF mount.

Fantastic review mate, loved it! Was slightly confused on why your blackmagic 6k pro footage was so "magenta" looking in comparison though. But what a great camera.

Even though I don't film that much these days due to, you know what - but I always check for new gear. BUT I always when it comes to Panasonic cameras look up to your videos. I'm following a ton of camera gear related RU-vidrs and I always skip them because of your experience and love to Panasonic cameras :)

Fantastic hand held Camerawork, looks like gimbal! Last year I invested a lot of money to update my Lumix 8bit video lineup by investing in a GH5, G9 and S5. Currently have 14 Lumix cameras , all but 2 are 4K capable. GH6 is going to replace the recently purchased excellent GH5 with the Vlog option. Looking at the history, I thought the GH6 would come out with the latest feature, NO autofocus, haha! Good review :D Also, I am still so excited for the film shot in the woods!!!

Internal ProRes recording, better skin tones, and the 'non-light' V-Log are the most interesting features to me. Not the camera I would buy at the moment, but I think it has a huge market and many filmmakers will enjoy shooting this camera. I'm pretty curious to see this GH6 paired with the S1H and then what the future firmware will add to this camera.

So great to see you with the GH6. I didn't even know about the Panasonic GH Cameras until you showed it off with your GH4 videos + Speedbooster. The GH4 ended up being my first Panasonic camera and I loved it ever since. Now I have two Panasonic S Series Camera. Excited to see what you can do with the GH6

Wow tgis is amaizing

Ahhh...2022!!!! And people still don't know that the sensor factor multiplier appyes to everything. It is F1.2 on the number side but as phisical apperture is double! It is exactly 2.4 in reeallife. And with a minor correction from that speedbooster is like a 2.2...maybe 2.0 max! So many people get thing wrong.

Nicely done. I took delivery of my GH6 on 3/14/22. Great camera in all regards except customer service. I purchased it under a promo program "Free Gift for GH6 Early Adopters". This offer is for a free 128GB Lexar CFexpress memory card. My problem is after registering the GH6 as a LPS member I am unable to complete the registration process because there is no option to continue to the final steps. I emailed them numerous times with only an automated response.

I own a GH5 and I was thinking to get another camera for interviews to create always similar looks… so this comes at a good time ;)

I love the GH5 still. But I want this one as well, hehe. It looks good. The most important thing tho is the Auto-focus and paired up with my Sigma 18-35.

First of all, GREAT work !!! And what a relief it is to see a former GH5 user, actually using the new GH6 in the real world, OUTSIDE ! Amazing. Now, two questions... Which card did you use ? 128GB or 256 GB ? And... is it true, (I heard a rumor)...that when you press record, the focus peaking vanishes ?! That never happened to me on the GH5 so, if this happens on the GH6, yikes...I dunno..... lol.

Great video, especially the low light test. Can you maybe do that test compared with a Sony a7 ii/iii and the gh6 if you have those in house. I am looking for the best low light camera withing a reasonable price range

Thank you for your work. Would you recommend the GH6 or EOS R3 for video work? 60-70% vlogging and 30-40% client work (video and a little bit photo). Especially in terms of video quality and stabilizer / ibis (vlogging...) Thank you for your help and feedback.

Amazing camera, good for shooting handheld when travelling, low light looks pretty good than GH5.

10:50 ibis comparison with sony A1. Sony does have active stabalisation and gyro stabalisation that from my experience works very well.
