thank you for this review. I got mine in June 2018. It has travelled with me in vietnam, japan, thailand prepandemic. Recently I brought it locally to Boracay Island Philippines & it is 2022. I use it with an ND 8 filter on a lensmate mount adapter. I always mount this on a Zhiyun Crane M. I still need to improve my video taking skills but I am very happy still with this 3yr+ setup. I am Not a pro & just an enthusiast shooting videos of my wife during our travels. The dilemma back then was to get this or join the Sony RX bandwagon. I got this instead & the savings went to a GoPro 6. So happy with that combo up to now. Thank you for this review.
Thanks. I bought one and expect to get it today. I'm strictly into still photography, but the compact size and fast zoom lens are the selling points for me. One inch censor is more than twice the size of the 1/2.3 sensors most digital point and shoots have.
I've used the Lumix LX10 as my B cam to my Lumix GX85 and it definitely is a good companion device to that camera. It was able to record 1080p at 24 or 30p with a dummy battery unlimited and the quality is good. However, I have since upgraded to a Sony ZV-1 for the VASTLY better AF, webcam/clean HDMI capabilities, and unlimited recording across all modes. I struck gold finding my LX10 lightly used for $250 and it was perfect for what I needed at that point until I could afford to switch to Sony. I'd keep tabs for this one used as it has the potential to really be a sleeper steal of a camera for video.
Decent review. I would say that the rate at which you move your hands constantly is pretty distracting. I really would rather see the camera better than to just see you swap it back and forth between your hands like that. Maybe I am being picky but while you were doing that I just kept hoping you would stop it and just show me the camera.
