Some video shot on the Panasonic M7. This camcorder has a 6x zoom lens with Piezo autofocus, F1.2, 9-54mm. The 1/2" CCD has a 297,984 pixels. It has high speed shutter modes of 1/500 and 1/1000 second. The VTR section is VHS HQ and has a flying erase head.

Love to see other people partake in using older cameras, I’ve also got a VHS camcorder myself (Hitachi 8400LA) and I love making older cinematic videos with it. Lots of respect to you mate

I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL! I have been wanting to Dive into tube cameras for a long time. I have a question for you due to your clear expertise on the matter: Do you know of any models of tube Camera(Saticon, Newvicon, Trinicon, Vidicon, Plumbicon) that come with a macro lens attached or can have one swapped on? For example, I love the RCA CMR300(CCD) because of it's 11.5-69mm 1:1.2 Macro lens, so it can be focused in on some really tight spots. It's amazing, but I want to do the same thing with a few different Tube cameras.

Hi, thanks for the kind words. Macro is a pretty standard feature. Most of them have it, it's usually just the low end type ones with optical viewfinders that don't. Of the ones on my channel, it's just the black and white ones and the Sharp XC-51 that don't have it, all the rest do.

How did you film that video with the battery inside it? Can you please let me know where i can buy a new battery that works?, mine cant even turn on the camera.

I think I bought mine from ebay. You can still get the batteries for them but they are hard to find and quite expensive. The model number of the original battery is wv-vbm7e, wv-vbm10e is also the same battery so if you get one that is sold as a replacement for one of those it should be correct. Mine was made by a company called multipower, the model number is mp-1222a.

Hello again, When you bought or found this camera did it have a flickering screen, if yes what capacitor did you use to replace the 220uF 10v 85° i replaced it with the same one ( not the same shape but same numbers.) but it still dosent work, it has a hard time with tape, it cannot play or throw the tape out. If you could please dm me or comment me your answer. Thanks😁👍

Yes, it was an image that was covered in randomly flashing dark horizontal bars. I used a 220uF 16v one but a 10v one should work fine as well, just might not last as long. There are two capacitors to replace though c1015 and c1019. Both the same type. Also check for damage to the pcb from the caps leaking. The other problems sound like worn out belts.

@@nowt1002 are the c1015 and c1019 square, round or brownish, bluish ballons typs of capacitors?

They're aluminium electrolytics, cylindrical radial type ones. I think the label on them is black. They are polarised so you need to make sure that you put the replacement in the correct way round. There are markings on the board to tell you but it's best to also take a picture because one of them is surrounded by other components so it will be hard to see the board marking.
