Panasonic S1H and a Very Old Sigma 105mm Macro Lens
On a dreary day, it is hard to find inspiration to photograph or film anything. This day, my wife showed me a photo she took on her Smartphone of a clump of wheat in our garden covered in dew drops. Off I went...
I grabbed my new (at the time) Panasonic S1H, tripod and my trusty, old, heavy, slow, tank-like but superb image quality Sigma 105mm Macro lens.
I didn't spot any of the bugs until I got in really close with the Sigma. The dew looked amazing and lack of sun meant no shadows, just lovely, subdued and even lighting.
Some of this was shot at 2000ISO but is really clean. Man I love this camera!
So, whenever I feel uninspired, I like to deviate from the "norm". Rather than just go out with my camera and hope for the best, I try something different:
• Aerial/drone work
• Slow motion
• Timelapse/Hyperlapse
• Macro
• Long exposure
• Even stop motion
