Panning Creeks In The Search For GARNETS!! 

The creeks in your area are so beautiful, especially the last one in the video with its striking banded formations. All the creeks look like they're full of minerals. How exciting to be able to pan out some garnets from them! Thank you for sharing this great adventure in prospecting for gems. It was very enjoyable!

Liam... You need a classifier. 3/8ths minus .. it helps with getting rid of larger rocks out of the pan & you could classify everything into a 5 gallon bucket ( 21 pans per bucket ) :)

Just wanted to say thank you for taking us on these wonderful adventures. I find your videos very calming and informative. I got a cancer diagnosis in June and rockhounding really helps get me out and moving and takes my mind off things. You inspire me to get out and explore in beautiful BC .

The waterlines are probably from the village that used to be across the road. Look in the water during low tide and you’ll see the stumps from the boardwalks and the houses. My grandmother was born in sunnyside. I think they demolished it in the 70’s. Most of the creeks are man made. Along the tracks are beautiful chunks of golden pyrite and chalcopyrite in the cliff side. Park at the yellow CN gate and walk down the tracks towards the old houses (they’ve been torn down now) just before the little waterfall I have destroyed the cliff looking for more white crystally stuff with the gold chunks lol I wish I had photos of it

Looks like some of the small darker heavy pieces in your pan could have been cassiterite. It's the ore for tin. Check it out.

What an awesome way to spend time. I daydream at work about either doing rock hounding/gold panning or fishing. Was wondering why you don't carry a 1/2 inch screen to save you time/effort in your panning.
