Your explanation of pansexuality was spot-on, the only thing I would add is that I think the potential to be attracted to intersex people is also part of being pansexual. But that's just me personally and I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone. But either way great job :)

I'm really confused. I don't know whether I am bi, pan, or poly. Like, I'm not restricted to only being attracted to TWO genders, but the term bisexual just seems more fitting to me. I don't know. Maybe soon it will just come clear to me but right now I have no clue what describes me best

The problem with the terms "heterosexual" and "homosexual" is that they aren't - as per their *actual* definitions - exclusively monosexual. Their definitions simply denote a positive attraction or activity with a specific gender. However, again due to definitions, being heterosexual does not necessarily mean you are not *also* homosexual, and vice versa. However, of course, the way that people employ the terms more or less imply an exclusiveness in attraction...

I identify as homosexual, but i definately have the ability to be attracted to transgender/genderfluid people so i guess technically I'm polysexual.

So I was kinda turning in circles trying to figure out the difference between polyamory and polysexuality and you cleared all my confusion with one little side comment. In my research till now no one even have seemed to think about even mentioning. So thank you very much. It's also nice to have someone not just mentioning that there can be an overlap between these sexualitys but also giving an explanation in what ways they could overlap. I feel much more confident now in saying that I am Poly and Pan and explaining it somewhat to others people.

This is new to me ... I have always known I was attracted to females but I wasn't allowed to do religion upbringing .... I am 6 yrs married to a heterosexual male and recently started to go therapy to find myself I did my own research and even my therapist mentioned that polysexual is the best description I don't believe I have a type of gender attraction but more like a chemical attraction ... knowing there are ppl out there that won't laugh or shame me is good to hear

Decent video, I do want to say one thing, there isn't any controversy over the definition of bisexuals in the bisexual community. Most bisexual activists used the "attracted to genders like my own and genders different than my own" definition.

Thank you for clearing this up. It’s so hard to find clear to info on the differences between these terms. I kept getting confused when other RU-vidrs would offhandedly explain bisexual and pansexual with the same definitions - pointing out the use of “bi” or “pan” was more due to someone’s preferences (usually generational) than an actual difference between meanings. the pansexual part was wrong. being pansexual means you are gender blind and do not care about gender at all, being omnisexual is being attracted to all genders but are not gender blind so some might have preferences.

What I've heard about these sexualities: Just choose a label I find it means different things for everyone. Bi means you like boys and girls. Poly can mean you a girls/boys the sex but like all genders from that one sex. Pan you are attracted to personality and don't care about gender. Bi can mean poly and poly can mean bi but bi doesn't mean pan and pan doesn't mean bi. Necessarily. (Correct me if I'm wrong but this what a poly person told me and I think I agree) I go by bi because it I've always stuck with it.

As long as everybody involved in a relationship is a happy consenting person; I personally don't give a fuck what they do lol. Life's all about good memories, laughs, love, and partying it up in your own way. The quicker everyone realizes that, the better. Until then I love you all, and hope you find your paths in life.

I'm not pansexual, because I haven't met someone of every different gender, so how do I know if I could fall in love with them if I haven't met them. But I'm also not bisexual, because that seems to disregard non-binary people. I'm somewhere in the middle, and I don't think it even has a name, maybe polysexuality?

My understanding is that pan and bi aren't forms of poly, but they're kind of on a spectrum. Bi is strictly 2, pan is all, and poly is somewhere in the middle. *shrugs* That's how I learned it and use it at least. PS, You're really adorable. Just thought I would let you know.

Bisexual is a umbrella term and all sexuality Fall under that term unless ur monosexual because wether ur male who identify as female or female who identify as male ...I think alot of people use the term bisexual to describe anyone who isn't strictly attracted to one sex ...

So I feel like I fit in the pansexual group, but I don't know if I am straight, pansexual or bisexual. Because I feel like I would def be attracted to girls and trans people, just like i'm attracted to men, but I have only been in relationships with men. I've said pansexual because I am attracted to people rather than their made up genders. Woman and genderqueer people only? Seriously? Genderqueer is a lot like those other gender weirdo terms, I see no difference. I can be attracted to trans men, but I struggle with transwoman who still look like men to me, I'm just repulsed by some women. Sorry, it's just how I am I guess. Good God, ffs, I only had one girlfriend in my relationship history, but now I'm in a relationship with a man, which I don't consider a straight relationship, because I'm still trying to understand my gender identity. How can I make him see that I'm still struggling with it and how do I get acceptance from my family who refuses to listen to my "nonsense"? Question: In regards to attraction in pansexuality, is one sexually attracted to people of all gender or could it be just spiritual or emotional attraction. For example, I find all genders attractive; I think some dudes are fucking hot, though I wouldn't want to take their dick, but I am sexually attracted to those with a vagina. I don't think I'll ever be able to understand poly or pansexuality. They don't make any sense and they are useless and too specific in my opinion. No one feel attracted to a particular gender, they feel attracted to the person (and their masculine or female features). I am Gay, but I still feels attracted to you to you to a certain degree. Not because of your genderqueerness but because you look like a male. Our brains are too primitive to for us to have such precise Sexual responses to specific gender identities. It's the same reason why some straight guys actually find trans women attractive before they find out they're trans. There's no polysexuality or pansexuality
