10:05 That stug tank leader skin is the same paint job as the Finnish stug at the Tank museum Bovington.

The number denotes a particular StuG "Ps. 531-33", which is located at Karjalan prikaati garrison in Vekaranjärvi, Finland. The StuG at Bovington seems to be "Ps. 531-44".

So, they are likely both vehicles from different companies of the same batallion.
@mattilaiho7979
@mattilaiho7979 4 года назад
@@SonsOfLorgar The same battalion is certain, so I'd say it's very likely for them to have been in the same company. (there were 3 assault gun companies and HQ company) Unfortunately I can find only the war time organization, in which these StuGs are not included. So can't be absolutely certain of this.

The B-239E Brewster is actually a variant of the F2A US naval plane, but the Fins removed the hook and were quite satisfied with it, especially against Laggs during early war.

Some unit names are bit weirdly translated and there would have been better names in Finnish to use. Most names are fine of course. Here are some translations from Finnish - straight to English - to proper English: Tarkka-ampuja = accurate shooter = sharpshooter Tiedustelu = recon Jääkäri = jäger (German for hunter) Kivääri = rifle Lähitorjunta = close intercept = close range anti-tank ? KPääl = komppanian päällikkö = company commander Nostoväki = drafted population (reserves) Syöksypioneeri = lunge pioneer = assault engineer Sotka = scaup (name for T-34) Sturmi = name bended from Stug Nelonen = number four (name for Pz IV) Huolto = maintenance KRH = kranaatinheitin = grenade thrower = mortar KK = konekivääri = machine rifle = machine gun Pikku-Sotka = little scaup PKom = pataljoonan komentaja = batallion commander Lahti = bay (surname of the weapon maker Aimo Lahti) Tankintorjunta = tank intercept = anti-tank PSTK = panssarintorjuntakanuuna = anti-tank cannon ITK = ilmatorjuntakanuuna = anti-air cannon H = haupitsi = howitzer Tulenjohtaja = fire leader = forward observer Pattr. Kom = Patterin komentaja = battery commander "Illu" = nickname for fighter ace Ilmari Juutilainen

Thing that has irritated me for so long is that Nostoväki is not right word for reservist. In finnish, nostoväki means drafted labourforce to consruct something. Usually men past 50 years old. They were not fighting force.

@VulcanHDGaming Hey, I watched your interview video recently and I would have more questions for the devs (but its to late?) 1. Will there maybe in the future a deck time restriction? Like 1941 or so? 2. Could there be in the future a North Africa DLC? And also a request for you: I dont get it so far in detail with all the radios. How is it working exactly? I mean, we have radios on some tank hunter vehicles, arty spotter, arty, recon vehicles and even planes. How to use it to the best in a match? Greetings

The Fins used German Stugs or Sturmi & Alot of Captured or Repaired & Re-used Russian Tanks of Various Variations. epscially around I think 1942-44 they were being Stocked up on German Pack Guns, Pansarfaust/Pansarbasooka, but used their own/Russian rifles/submachinguns so on, the Ammountion for most Finnish Guns at the time, worked well will Russian ^^ I think. one cool feature the Finns Used German Arty 15 cm guns up until 1980s.
