Seen the real pantera 5x back in the day...will be passing on this version.but its good they are out there olaying pantera music for the youngsters who never got a chance to see the original band.
Saw them I think 8x in the 90s(Hara Arena Dayton Ohio). If this comes around ya do what Im gonna do...Have some beers and just enjoy it(seeing them in July in Indy). Nothing will beat the shows and the pits of the 90s but hot damn Im excited to have some drinks and sing my guts out next month🤘
I keep reading comments on these shows like it's not pantera,it's a cover band etc but can someone out there give me a list of rock or metal bands that have all the members still present that started the band's youl be hard pressed to find a couple let alone a list! This line up has half of the original band so it is pantera! It's also a tribute to dime bag and Vinnie Paul that their music can still be heard live and loved and appreciated but so many people I think it's awesome pantera are playing again! 🤘
Thank you!!! When Pantera was originally together, I was taking care of a sick parent, then broke and raising babies. Couldn't go to concerts. This is the closest I'll ever get. I saw them at Inkcarceration and loved every minute.
Much better than I thought it was going to sound. Zakk Wylde's backup also does this song justice. Abbott brothers are simply irreplaceable pillars of foundation. Took the best caliber musicians to fill in for them. Right now they have the hardest job in rock and roll.
"Real fan"? Are you a Taylor Swift fan? jfc get off your high horse, kid, all four members of this cover band are more down to earth than you, a nothing.
Ive seen zakk wyld plenty back in the day and he always had mad amounts of pinch harmonics. Hes probably the only dude in the world who could replace dime so im glad they went with him
@@anthonyjones9520 I' don't exactly know about Philip Anselmo is racist or Nazism or K.K.K concept action. Or maybe he is real racist. Because I don't know What he has been think about his every gesture result for his Pantera vocal career. But one thing is certain, The Pantera's Walk song is so awesome! Of Course, I hate racist, and I have been look up to Great Minster Martin Luther King and his speech "I have a dream." for my life.
Those who are against this tour might want to consider that this music also belongs to Rex and Phil. It’s their life’s work. A massive amount of future income was lost not only when the Abbot brothers passed but also when album sales became no longer a thing. It’s called the “music business” because it’s just that a business. It’s foolish to say they should go by a different name as well. Pantera isn’t just a name it’s a brand. That brand has tremendous value and is the reason they’ve drawn as well as they have. If you were in Rex and Phil’s place with that IP you would not pass on the financial opportunity. They have a right to make a living. You have a right to not contribute.
This needs to stop. I have to say Pantera was one of the only bands I did not get to see from back in the day but this does not have even come close to feel that the real deal had.
"I did not get to see them"....then goes on to definitively state not from experience how "does not even come close to feel that the real deal had". Unlike you I saw Pantera many times and this shit still gives me goosebumps because I get to see Phil/Rex playing live and giving their all...this is a tribute, it cannot be anymore than that so I will take it!
Seriously that’s Charlie from Anthrax and he usually kicks serious ass. But there’s something wrong here, he slows down ever so slightly, it’s weeeeeird. Maybe he doesn’t take to the metronome. Either way, it ain’t flowing like it should.
This is such a rip off. Why couldn't this have happened when Dime and Vinne were alive? Maybe if they had called it something else other than pantera I would be ok with it but calling this pantera doesn't sit well with me.
Stfu douche what the fuck is wrong with u they aren't alive and I was there and this was a maximum tribute to the brothers I've been listening to pantera since before cowboys from hell and I thought it was great also I got to meet Dimes widow there and she was happy about this so who are u
Bruh what the fuck else are they supposed to call it? Pantera minus 2? It’s a tribute act. You can either buy the tickets to go see them with all the other fans out there who had the unfortunate luck of being born too late to see the OG lineup, or shut the fuck up and keep listening to the old studio albums.
I saw Pantera three times and although this is nothing like the original lineup, like it or not its purely a tribute to the Van Halens of groove metal and I'm sure Vince and Dime would be proud that there lives and legacy are being honered this way by Phil, Brother Zakk, Rex and Charllie RIP DIME 🎸AND 🥁 VINCE CFH FOREVER!!! GETCHA PULL!!!! And please stop bashing Zakk, a lot of guitarists have signature styles and his pinch harmonics are his. His close fallen brother Dime had his Dime Bombs. I don't hear people bitching about Eddie Van Halens tapping that he used incessantly all throughout his career. If you saw him live like I have many times with OZZY and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, hes a force to be reckoned with!!!!
"Van Halens" of heavy metal?! Dimebag himself would've been the first to make fun of your stupid affirmation... the brothers were humble, unlike PhiI and so-called Pantera fans in 2023 jfc
The thing that gets me upset is Vinnie was on record saying there could never be a Pantera reunion without all the original players. It is a tribute show but Phil was on record saying a reunion with Charlie and Zakk would happen…after Vinnie passed. This is all an ego stroke for Phil… My allegiance is with the Abbott bros. God I miss seeing them fucking jamming together. Van Halen!
I saw them, I don't know... 8 times, maybe 10 times in the 90s. Basically every show they played in Detroit from about 93 on. I'm going tonight and while I don't expect it'll blow me away like it did back then, it'll still be the best Pantera concert I've gone to in over 20 years.
Yeah, he looks a little stiff in this video. I’ve had gigs like that myself. Sometimes it’s just like the venue and the atmosphere just makes you not feel comfortable who knows what he was going through. Charlie still kills it.
@@Egoblivion Man, charlie is floating right from the start. It's different thing playing the parts right and different having the groove. Vinnie was one of a kind on this.
All 4 members made the band. There are still 2 members that live. I mean zach isn't Dime and Charlie isn't Vinnie . Charleston did a lot of research for this. Type of drums, cumbols , triggered, heads ect... Zach sounds better than he did in the earlier shows.
Phil made Pantera, One of the best singers to touch the stage, without him you would be listening to another band that sounds like Poison. No Phil no Pantera, I guess. I love the Dime and Vin and seen them starting out with Phil years ago. I gave away 7 good seat tickets to the show last week. Not one of them complained. Still a good show, people should go if you can. Phil can make money with any of his other bands if he needs to like before. Remember Phil wrote almost all the songs and or co-written.
