ARIKA has sure composed killer music! I sure hope that the characters from EX Layer join the roster of the brand new Street Fighter 6! (With myself included, that is!)🦇❤
This game has such an amazing soundtrack. It's a shame that it wasn't considered a successful series by Capcom. I really do hope they make more games for this series. It had such great characters, gameplay, and music.
+Ian Tsang Technically wasn't Capcom. Creator of SF2 split off with limited rights and made his own series. While there's a rumor from 2011 that they are working on a 3DS game, the EX dev Arika won't likely give rights for the EX only characters :(
I'm so happy there was a day and age where it was considered appropriate to blend a rock band with traditional japanese instruments and sprinkle all of this shamelessly with lead synths and epic guitar solos. All of this with a highly professional level of production. I don't care how cheesy this is, it fucking rocks.
If you consider this "cheesy" there is a problem here. That shit sounds quite millennial to me. As Sagat would say: "try again, kid". Relearn from the beginning.
I must say, I don't know much about the person who plays the instruments in my themes, but I'd love to meet them. They truly understand how to convey the path of the warrior into musical tone.
Shinj Hosoe ayako saso and someone else. They’ve done myriads of games. Ridge racer naruto clash of ninja mega man network transmission tekken 2 dragon ball etc
As much as I love Ryu's original theme, it's really more of a short, memorable, loopable tune, which makes it suitable for short fights or the vs games. This song has so much energy and longevity, though. It's amazing.
This really is a pretty awesome theme. One of my favorites and most memorable from the EX series. It makes me think of Ryu as more of a Japanese hero, than a martial artist, but maybe thats another side of him. Like in the Alpha/Zero film.
@@dnmstarsi Nah, to be honest I don't see that happening unfortunately. But what we should be asking for is a whole guess Character TEAM for KoF XV. It can consist of Akuma or Ryu (Capcom) / Jin or Kazuya (Namco) / Skullo or Kairi (Arika) They can be called: Team GUEST
I just wanna say... Ryu - The Michael Jackson of Fighting Game Characters. Which would make Akira Yuki the Prince Rogers Nelson of Fighting Game Characters!!! May they both R.I.P.!!!
It just goes to show Ryu dosent NEED his Classic Theme SF2 to be Awesome when hes got his Alpha 3,SF3 and THIS THEME to work off of tho i kiiiinda think his SF6 theme falls short from these themes as well
agreed. it falls way too short and almost disgraceful. his sf6 music just isnt feeling right. its crazy how many thousands of people are like omg its perfect and showing ryu grown into a master. is that jazzy sh*t what plays in ryu head when hes out there meditating and training... lmao?!! crazy. anyway. ya i think it should have been more like this theme. this still goes hard... these sf ex games are still pretty good play to this day. ost is amazing too. this theme rocks!!
Every now and then I come back and revisit the SF EX3 soundtrack. So many good themes, that it enhanced my gameplay experience. I like plenty of the themes but, my favorite has to be Ryu’s.
Some Fighters dont EVER need to change but they CAN Mature instead and adapt according to their standards and not have standards forced upon them and us for that matter because no matter how many "generations" there are Ryu will still keep on walking and fighting with respect and justice
Strength at it's peak. Dissatisfaction at the pace of improvement. Movement and travel. A search for stronger opponents further and further from home. That's the story I'd glean from this track.
people complaining about capcom always using the same old themes for their recent street fighter games and not this...well this game was produced by arika a third party developer under licence from capcom thats why they cant just put this music or create something similar, arika has its own style and cannot be copied
@@Joe_Parmesan I'm amazed at the EX characters themes, truly some of the best in Street Fighter history. Even the SF4 themes can't compared to this and that's like a 13 year different from the 2 games, not to mention a PSX soundtrack vs a PS3 soundtrack.
His been My go to, My Favorite, and just admiring the character how far he's came and how far he continues to go truly one of the best main characters in all fighting games.
I get so pumped with this song. Out of all the EX games SFEX +@ is my favorite, and if it ever comes on Vita or PS3/4 via digital I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
SFIII was straight inspiration from the movie. Damn near all of Ryu's SFIII moves were in the Movie. His standing medium kick. He hit bison with when he had ken by the neck, Denjin in the beginning vs Sagat
This theme music for Ryu gets my adrenaline pumped! I miss this! For me to have the SFV game I want, the PC version must be purchased and mods must be added. No exceptions.
This is very close to his classic theme, definitely the best new theme for Ryu. Nothing has surpassed the original though, but this is awesome either way.
The problem is not that it is upbeat is that the new theme doesnt fit the character at all and this theme is upbeat but has the weight of the characters and its personality, it has the classic feels that capcom has always done for their characters. There is no comparison at all.
RaiXVortex Mainly his road to platinum videos where he's playing as Ken on PC. He has it modded for this Ryu theme whenever he fights against Ryu. Very hype matches
I miss this game. Wish they made another installment of it. Meanwhile, the soundtrack to this game boasts many catchy theme songs for their characters. I think Capcom should bring back this form of music to their fighting titles now. Fast pace and energetic!
Danny Simion They already announced Fighting EX Layer, dude, they don’t need to make another Street Fighter EX, when we could have the Arika-made characters in their own game
@arabshotta Sakura (school girl) is originally from Street Fighter Alpha 2. She later was added to the console version of Rival Schools on the second disc which has more characters and features. There is another character named Sakura in the EX series as well.
this sounds like it would be used for a Parkour based Shmup Running and gunning while Flipping across Roof tops and shooting down helicopters and stuff epic idea right? xD
The funny thing about Ryu is, if he had the chance to pick his own theme song, he'd probably pick either total silence, or smooth jazz. [Ryu] "Kenny G. He makes the Dark Hadou go away." [Gouken] "See brother, if you gave me back my vinyls, we could end this boy's suffering." [Akuma] "Weaklings! The power of vinyl belongs to me now!"
While SF EX3 was not a success, they did way better than a lot of Street Fighter titles in terms of Stage VGM. Majority of the soundtrack have epic stage music.
yup. still eons better then what SF6 gave him.!! aside from the sf3 third strike and alpha 3 themes this was a perfect example of doing ryu theme justice. different from his classic. it captures his spirit. like the title. unlike the horrendous jazzy bank heist music of sf6... disappointed in ya capcom. hire these again guys do your character themes please and another 3d SF game. kairi and garuda need to be made canon. :D
@Fernie Fernandez i think it might be some type of instrument that uses air pressure. i think its u flute. its not a fact its a friendly guess. when it comes to character stage music. sfex is in a class compared to the other series. im a huge sfa fan and a huge bison, akuma, karin, and chun player but ex actually did it right
It's just the style of music for the two games are different. EX3 is more jazzy, while SF4 more electronic influenced. SF4's is not shit at all. The volcano and lost temple themes are really damn good.
markmorris1993 It isn't a matter of styles, it's a matter of quality of composition. SFIV tracks aren't good at all. There are only a few original compositions from SFIV that are passable. I can only remember now Abel's song which is a decent composition. Most others just sound generic and soulless, specially The Volcano one.

No one can force that on ya because that's your opinion. But don't try to make your opinion sound like a fact, that's just bad. To me and many others SFIV has great music. It's nowhere near being the worse. Like our friend MarkMorris said. It's just the style of the music for the two games that are different. But I must also point out that you kinda contradict yourself when you complemented Abel's song after saying the SFIV track weren't good at all. Do you Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda like the tracks or not? Not trying to be a jerk. Just gotta ask.
Lord Popo It's no contradiction for there to a few songs that he enjoys from a soundtrack he hates. A lot of times, there are bad soundtracks with one or two timeless classics (which sometimes makes people say the whole soundtrack is good). Terranigma is a game which I basically felt that way about. I don't like that game much either, but everyone says that it was perfect. Also, people could possibly say Fire Emblem Gaiden had a terrible soundtrack except for the song that appeared in Smash Bros. (Gaiden's soundtrack is not actually bad, though).
