@DavideoGames641 Fun fact: The spirits locked in the chests are the original legendary heroes who saved the day using the crystal stars power in the distant past. You can learn more details by talking to Grifty on top of one of the houses on Rogueports East side
I feel like the Paper Mario 64 theme is unofficially the series theme now. I love the TTYD theme and the new soundtrack is amazing, but it feels like it has a strong injection of early 2000s synthy-ness to it, if that makes sense. PM64's music feels a bit more timeless
If I’m being completely honest, I don’t see why people HATE the backtracking of chapter 4. I didn’t even realize it when I was playing. The twilight trail isn’t even that long, so you’re not wasting TOO much time…
If I had a Nickle for everytime I've heard a story about a Gamecube being stolen, I'd have two nickles, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
Paper Mario fans: TTYD is an awesome RPG with a great story, a complex and precise battle system, and loads of badges that let you customize how you play the game and allow for fun challenges and battle styles! Nintendo: LOOK GUYS! Mario sure is made of *PAPER*! ☝️🤓
Something I thought of while playing today was the perspective. Shouldn't everyone look like little thin pieces of paper to everyone? Like when Mario does his sideways move, you can barely see him. From their perspective, that's how he should look all the time. lol
@@suicune2001You just summed up one of the reasons I prefer the old games like TTYD being subtler about paper stuff as opposed to Origami King where paper characters are more literal. Because once it’s too literal, I wonder about stuff like where they are facing and why Mario can switch his head sprite at times, etc. But in TTYD the paper stuff seems to be kind of like Goombella breaking the fourth wall: they can do it sometimes but most of the time they ignore it and just treat it as a normal Mario world. My favorite example is that turning sideways is called “becoming paper-thin,” implying the characters truly see themselves as NOT paper-thin apart from activating this unusual ability.
This could have been better if they paper crafted the mario and move it using stop motion instead of cgi animation, but this is still a good commercial
I never had the chance to play this game before, heck I didn’t even know that it existed back then, but when I found out about this game I thought I want to play this and now I finally have the opportunity, the chance, to finally play it for the first time since I saw this game I can’t wait 😁
YES! YESSSS NINTENDO!! This THIS is paper mario! (And super paper mario) I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS WHEN I WAS A LIL’ TYKE ON MY WII’S BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY! I’d never make it past the first town BUT IT WAS SO FUN! After re-experiencing it as [Age.], I’m excited to Re-Revisit this lovely game!
Just 100% the game earlier today please remaster no 1 and super paper mario this was a 10/10 game that you somehow made an 11/10 I couldn’t have been happier with it 😊
Very cute but this ad doesn’t reflect what the actual gameplay of the game is and I worry it give people wrong impression what Paper Mario TTYD game is actually like.
@@ValidTIt’s just that if you didn’t know anything about the Thousand Year Door and saw this ad you’d assume Paper was the main focus of the game like the other recent entries
Why is everyone complaining in the comments? I think this game is better than Origami King. I'm glad I finally get to play the "best" Paper Mario game, and it deserves that title.
@@URFTBOUND4LIFE oh don’t remind my of sticker star’s back tracking. Half of the time they don’t even tell you where you need to even backtrack to and next thing you know you are running around every level aimlessly wasting precious moments of your life.
Facts weirdos who came after the golden age will say other paper marios like super or sticker are better but everyone agrees the first and thousand year door are thee 2 best in the series.
If anyone is on the fence about this still.. Don’t be, it’s an incredible game! Even offers challenge and skill related moves! Which I know all of you like!
The best Paper Mario ever, this is what I was hoping Origami King was going to be like but I got disappointed with a slow puzzle game instead of good combat!
Try to Remake Paper Mario origami king and add Bobombs as enemies and the rest of the Unused enemies including monty mole all all enemies as posible and make an origami koopa pls
I love how fans have been bitching for YEARS that they wanted Paper Mario to be as good as TTYD again, and Nintendo just remade it cuz they can’t make anything as good as it ever again in the series
@@Leafblade77 not at all i just think it’s funny that this is the best Paper Mario game they could give us since the original TTYD (unless you really like Super Paper Mario which is fair)
if it's available, i'd also reccomend emulating it on a computer rather than the switch online app, it has a few small problems, but you'd probably not notice them :)
@@snowyfloss32 haha thanks 😋 it still makes sense to me! I'm a bit of a stubborn Nintendo purist so I'll probably stick with the Online version but thx for the suggestion! 😁
i think the issue with paper is it becoming gimmicky and the main point of the game - this game doesn't do that though because it uses it as a storytelling device :3
@@snowyfloss32 As did all of the modern games, they were never the sole point of the game. It's a natural evolution of the artstyle, there's no issue with it
Not a fan of the DEI edits made to the game Nintendo. A trans ghost? In the original and sequel the ghost was cannon femboy. And changing dialogue....not cool. So it's a no from me. Shame, as I was looking forward to buying this. But not when content is changed for DEI purposes. This is going to make me scrutinise any other games of yours before purchase.
In the japanese version they were already trans but in the us version that was changed and a whole debate started which nintendo has now finally cleared up
She was literally always trans lol. They're just uncensoring it. The rest of the dialogue they're changing to be more accurate to the Japanese script and the characters. But that's just a smokescreen for you cons angry they're not keeping the censored version lol.
@@animeentranced1130 I am sure they were...and I am sure Yusuke was a Samurai and not a retainer too.🤦♂️🙄 Funny how people are only saying that now and nobody was talking about how it was "changed/censored" before.
@@hyperten5906 In the original Japanese game he is referred to as an "Otokonoko", that isn't transgender. That is a type of femboy. There are many different types of femboy terminology in Japan. None of them means trans.
