Nice take on the survival kit from Dr. Strangelove. Fun fact about the original scene: if you watch Slim Pickens' mouth movements, he doesn't say "Vegas." The original line was, "shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Dallas with all that stuff." The movie was also going to be released in late November 1963. For obvious reasons the release was delayed and the line was changed.

Same cartridge loading cycle as the Browning M1917. Parallel development, or did JMB have access to a DWM MG 13/ sMG 14, whilst working with FN before August 1914? FN from 1897 to 1918 was wholly owned by DWM. Of course, as an American, JMB was not an " Enemy Alien" ( w.r.t. Germany) till 1917, so he could freely move from occupied Belgium through Neutral Holland to Britain and then the US. A look at JMB travel history 1914-1917 would be very interesting. DocAV

Guess what, I remember watching the Machine Gun Types part I, and I know what to classify the outliers; the Browning M1919A6 is definitely an MMG and so does the MG08/15 because they’re used in the same fashion as the FN MAG.

Those screws are also (almost) indexed so their slots line up in the same direction. That's custom gun levels of attention to detail.

I loved the riff on Slim Pickens' Dr Strangelove scene.

'Shoot a fella could have a pretty good time in Helsinki with all this stuff'.....classic take from Dr. Strangelove one of my favourite flicks of all time haha. A little trivia about that line in the movie where the audio is dubbed in post production. Original script was Dallas but due to JFK assassination about the time the movie was to be released, they dubbed in Vegas. If you watch Slim closely in the movie you can clearly read his lips saying Dallas.

There is one of these in the WW1 museum in Kansas City that is mislabeled as being chambered in 9mm.

Ok, I gotta say, this video has the best merch plug I've ever seen. I wish all advertising were like that, that was actually fun.
