Welding those typically non-permanent knots is a creative solution. Lots of applications.

Amazing. I loved the example near the end of welding a knot. I have several pieces of cord that I will use that technique on.

BRRROOOOOOO NO MORE STICKY FINGERS. Thank you. Why did I not think of this. I'd be using random bits of paper and my fingers for most my life.

I kept the innards from gutting paracord over time and have quite a lot now. Got any ideas what I could start to use it for?

Hi, I like your ideas in this channel. Very practical. I was wondering if you can mimic a compression sack, say for sleeping bag, using only 1 continuous piece of paracord and nothing else? Just an idea for future project.

Q: Will the melted plastic not crack and break away / seperate under strain of a lot of flexing? For a zipper pull etc probably ok as demonstrated.

It's not a climbing knot alternative if that answers the question.

I hate to see the white strands when want to finish off a bracelet especially if it is a dark color, so I figure out a way, after cutting the cord I use a sharpie same color of the cord, color the white strands then melt it, can't see it anymore.

Good cord is made from nylon. Cheap cord is made of polyester.

I got it at a corner store in Oceanside, California for a beach bond fire. This is the Amazon description. “6 3/4" Eagle Torch Pen Gun Torch Lighter Butane Refillable Semi Transparent Tank (Semi Transparent Black)”

Go to a gas station that has crack heads roaming around. They got what paracord craves.

There's better ways to mate 2 pieces together. Stronger, and no melting required.
