Putin forgot to mention the August 1939 Nazi-Soviet Pact, which paved the way for Hitler’s invasion of Poland in September, followed by the Soviet invasion of Poland’s eastern provinces of Western Ukraine and Western Byelorussia,. The Soviet attack on Finland in November 1939, followed by Stalin’s absorption of the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in 1940. The Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941. The United States began to see the Soviet Union as an embattled country being overrun by fascist forces. Under the Lend-Lease Act, the United States sent enormous quantities of war materiel to the Soviet Union, which was critical in helping the Soviets withstand the Nazi onslaught. By the end of 1942, the Nazi advance into the Soviet Union had stalled; it was finally reversed at the epic battle of Stalingrad in 1943. Soviet forces then began a massive counteroffensive, which eventually expelled the Nazis from Soviet territory and beyond. This Soviet effort was aided by the cross-channel Allied landings at Normandy in June 1944. In total, the U.S. deliveries to the USSR through Lend-Lease amounted to $11.3 billion in materials (equivalent to $240 billion in 2024): over 400,000 jeeps and trucks; 12,000 armored vehicles (including 7,000 tanks) 11,400 aircraft (of which 4,719 were Bell P-39). Ukraine is being attacked by Ruzzian fascist forces and deserves the same support.

Correct me if I am wrong but did the infantry used to have their weapons slung or held displaying them, as I noticed this time none of the infantry had even side arms, that is quite telling to me not enough to go round all needed for their frontline soldiers.

The US played the Kremlin wrong. Whe😢the War started, he made a BIG mist😢by saying at the very beginning that no US troops would be sent to Ukraine. I understand he said that after 20 years in Afghanistan and a bad ending but by saying that he tipped his hand to Putin, something you never want to do.😢
