Funny. My Studio 100s V2 were purchased by me nearly 18 years ago. Just rocked the movie 1917 on them last night. Still sound incredible! Got lucky, I guess.

@@benevolentautore4463 Got mine brand new in 1998, still sound awesome!! wouldn't trade them for anything else, these newer speakers are ugly, and cost 3 times as much now for what you get...

Polk is literally trash. Not even in the same paragraph as paradigm.

On flat ceilings 10’ and under they actually work ok. We agree they are not as good as actual speakers on the ceiling. How would you propose to get AC power to a wireless speaker on the ceiling? It might connect wirelessly but they still must have power. Thanks for watching

@@AudioAdvice i assumed most wireless speakers would also take batteries or a battery pack. Like All the AR wireless speakers. Not that I would use them. I just cut 10 small holes in my ceiling to run speaker wire for overhead speakers. I just would like it if informative companies like yourselves would be clear with people that the upfiring speakers are not as good and not recommended unless the only option. People end up buying them then realizing they don’t work well. Wastes resources, their money and probably gives them a sour taste for the audio hobby. Better to educate people(like you guys do) on installing in ceiling speakers. So anyway I’m glad that paradigm doesn’t offer up firing speakers. Hopefully more companies will follow their lead.

Tom- it does not look like you got these from us, but that is odd- what kind of amp are you running them on?
