Parents of a Glendale student are outraged after they say a teacher allegedly assaulted their son in class. The assault reportedly happened on April 10 at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, according to Edit Novshadyan, the student’s mother. She claimed school officials tried to cover up the incident following their complaint.
“How could this happen in this day and age?” Novshadyan said in disbelief. She said their son was assaulted by his 7th-grade math teacher in an unprovoked attack. “I get a text message from him saying, ‘Mom, my teacher hit me,’ and I wrote to him, ‘What? Are you kidding me? Are you serious? Are you messing with me?’ And he’s like, ‘No, Mom. My teacher hit me.’”

They called my grandmother after in happened, and then I got another one when I got home that evening. Yeah I learned my limitations that day.

@@welovehax The thing is, it's not the beginning of the school year. I'd lay money there's a "no eating in class" rule and this kid is well aware of it. It doesn't matter if he listened and "put his food away", he's old enough to know right from wrong. The kid copped an attitude, and the teacher lost it. Should she have smacked him? No, but the kid definitely needs an attitude adjustment.

The teacher should never get physical unless for self defense but the student isn’t innocent and it wasn’t unprovoked. He ignored her request to stop eating in class then proceeded to interrupt her teaching by talking to his classmates. The teacher definitely made a mistake and she needs to get her emotions in control for this job, she should have asked him to leave the class and given him detention instead. The parents need to discipline him, he has no respect for the teacher.

This is why camera's should be installed in all classrooms There's no privacy in a classroom camera's need to be installed around the whole school in all schools except for the obvious place restrooms. It all starts at home I teach my daughter that teachers are parents, sisters, grandmas, friends respect all of them even if the teacher is rude it's probably because of the student/students before her entering that class it still doesn't give any right to touch a kid in anyway other than if kids are fighting.

I used to tell my kids to "listen to your teacher". But now, parents have lost the trust and respect for most teacher with how they go about "teaching" what "they feel is right" and pushing their own agendas. If teachers don't respect the boundaries of what is appropriate to teach and respecting different religions/political backgrounds of students, then how can parents tell their kids to "respect & listen to your teacher"?! My child had a teacher going off topic many times, saying things like "your parents telling you this & that are wrong and stupid"! When I was in 4th grade quite a few years back, (ages) my teacher would smack fingers on the desk with a yard stick for less. Never mine, but I seen it a few times.

Im in this school and ive heard she is a mean teacher but even tho the student wouldnt put the food away it doesnt give her the right to hit a minor like that. She only got suspended and not fired. And ik how most armenian kids act but she shouldnt hit a kid

Dont feel sorry for the kid if he had shown disrespect to the teacher. Teachers don't just give out corporal punishment for no good reason

When I was in the 7th grade I folded a handout the teacher passed out to the class and when we had to return it, the teacher saw my handout folded and got mad. She crumpled up my handout and threw it at me. I however didn't tell my parents because I thought I could get in trouble because I folded the handout. All the kids in class wanted me to tell on the teacher but I didn't. I was however able to tell that the teacher was afraid of me telling on her since after that day she was extra nice with me and she even signed me off to have an elective class for the following school year (this was at the time considered to be a privelage for outstanding students only). It was too bad that my family decided to move cities after that school year and my new school didn't give me an option for an elective.

So what else what or has the kid been doing? Oh no he got smacked in the arm for breaking the rules ,wonder how many times,why did he have his cell phone in the classroom when he should have been focused on learning.
