Here's my Parfums De Marly Oajan Fragrance Review. Finally a full review of Oajan by Parfums De Marly. I have two other videos focused on Oajan by Parfums De Marly in comparison to a few other fragrances like Ambre Narguile by Hermes and Brecourt Farah but this video is all about Oajan. Tried this one at a department store in April because it was almost half off on sale. I instantly understood why. This type of smell is so intimately associated with Christmas in Europe. It just smells like a British Christmas pudding with sweet spicy glüwein on the side. It's really delicious, rich and incredibly heavy on the Christmas notes. I cannot imagine anyone wearing this beyond November and December in many parts of the world.

Great video and definitely the biggest compliment getter from this house on my skin. Between and this Casamorati Lira, and Feve Deliceuse I’m all set on gourmands. On the topic of this having a middle eastern dessert vibe, I totally agree. This is some stages reminds me of my favorite dessert from my childhood, called basbousa which is a middle eastern semolina cake drenched in sweet syrup.

I have had this sample for about a month, but finally decided to wear it today. When I first got it, out of the bottle, the fragrance smelled weird to me. Over the past week, I continued to smell it out of the bottle. The scent started to grow on me. When i put it on today, i realized this fragrance is OUTSTANDING! Smells different on skin. Not to mention, Oajan is very expensive. It’s sold out on most of the discounters that I purchase from. I’m far behind on recognizing good fragrances. A month ago, I never would have guessed this would be sold out on most sites. Great review. Holla.

Thanks Sebastian I haven’t tried all the fragrances from here yet only Herod so far and it’s a decant so I’ve not actually tried it on my skin yet only smelled it so I can’t really say how I feel about it yet but I like all different kinds of scents and this sounds pretty nice

I haven’t tried Oajan yet but Herod and Layton might be my number 1 and 2 favorite fragrances of all time. They’re both right up there. I love this house and really want to try Oajan and Carlyle.

PdM is easily among my favorite niche houses of all time. Oajan is extremely delectable, very similar to Ambre Narguile, but better in my opinion. Seems denser and longer lasting. In order of favorites would be Herod, Layton and Oajan. Agree it had a pastry, apple pie thing going on that is just mouth watering. Love gourmands.

I’ve just gotten into this house! I have a bottle of Pegasus on its way and have 10 ml decants of Herod, Layton, and Percival. Could not get a sample of oajan but it sounds incredible.

Got my decant haha and it smells like an apple streusel. So yummy 😋! Best gourmand I’ve ever tried. Let’s try it out to see how it performs on my skin (considering longevity)

This is a great one. I do prefer Ambre Narguille just a little bit on scent, but Oajan is FAR better value.

Honestly, anytime i hear Honey or Cinnamon when it comes to fragrance i hesitate - Montale's Honey Aoud being one of the rare exceptions

Trust it, people like it on you especially girls. I have it i think i smell like an powdery old lady. Girls love it literally some woman goes out of her way to say something everytime i wear it. If you still have it bet if you give it a chance through the spring you'll see the magic!

Nice review! I often hear it smells like apple pie, apple pastry so this fragrance has peaked my interest. I love me some apple in my fragrance. I have been wanting to try this fragrance out but every single time I try to get a sample off luckyscent, they are out of it. I love Oajan. I wore it for the family Xmas party & over sprayed a bit (easy to do with this one), but ended up having to take my Dad to hospital & I really stank out the ward.

Carlisle is so big that it's intensity might not make it versatile either. Sedly/Percival from PDM might be most versatile! :)

And I am totally in love with Herod. so Herod will be, (along with 2 other from different houses being Initio Side Effect and Tauer desert Morocain..expensive month). did you have any experience with Venba Fragrance discounter website? thinking to get Herod from them. thank you Also thank you for all your great videos! Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Oajan. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 78%. The new formulation I see in stores has 82% alcohol and does not have 3 ingredients found in the batches that have 78% alcohol. The missing ingredients are: Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate & Ethylhexyl Salicylate. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Herod, Layton & Carlisle have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.

Funny story, today at work i got 2 compliments on carlisle. A girl was like "i smell you, you smell good...like good enough to eat" lol. Awhile later a male co-worker was like "bro, you smell hella good... no You smell like a lawyer, a lawyer whos about to go in and win the case" lol both unsolicited, only unsolicited comments are real compliments of course.
