Stephan, I was really glad to see this. I’m looking to install a parking brake in my ‘69. I’ve never done one before either. I’ve seen one now. This will make it easier for me for sure!!! Thanks!!
Thanks for posting this, I have a ‘61 comet that just broke the cable at the handle, same setup as yours. 4 minutes in and my main question was answered, gotta remove the handle. Thanks again!
@@pstreetgarage7304 the best I have found is from monster transmission and it's 1600, so I will continue with my search. Body work is coming along, I'll post a new video when I get a little bit further
@@briankalfus598 Awesome . I paid 400 for my tranny but it needed overhauled. 1500. Years ago I bought one for 50 dollars and threw it in an old Merc pick up. Ran perfect
Thanks so much for showing this. I have a 63 in need of this. Where did you get the unit that mounts on the tranny? I have a C6. Should be close to a C4.
Well, now I see what I'm in for..... I'm gonna clean my pieces of rust and use frame paint to keep it rust free. You'll need goof Off for the tape glue.
Something else I wanted to say I... if you had pried up the two small tabs on the ratchet cable catch... It would have been easier to remove the bolt. Just like on a military rifle breakdown. And that's why I'm keeping the car up on the supports until the motor and trans are actually in I know the tape is on to protect the expensive to replace chrome trim...
