The National Park Service and D.C. police cleared out several encampments from the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, affecting about 70 people across six sites. News4’s Juliana Valencia reports.

Why don't these people get a job and pay taxes like the rest of us DC residents? Or, they can move to middle America where it's cheaper to rent and find a job.

@@daddygrace253 You can't get a job without an address. You have to have ALRIGHT mental health (can actually work). Also, to RENT anything, you need credit. To even have a car, you need credit unless you're buying by owner with cash. There's so many barriers and once you are already homeless, it's almost impossible to get out of.

@@daddygrace253 Also instead of worrying about "why aren't these homeless people paying taxes?" Worry about the rich using your taxes to pay for LUXURY ITEMS like fancy food, private jet rides, and other frivolous sh*t the general population will never get to see.
