Clicked on this video expecting to watch for a minute or two but watched the whole thing. What a lovely man! I remember him from way before Harry Potter and I hope that now, after his untimely passing, people will see that there was a lot more to his career than his Hagrid character.

Met him in Hyndland in Glasgow when one of my fellow mechanic's lifted the bonnet of his Citroen Light 15 for a look. He had every right to be irritated but he was'nt,he chatted to us for ages about engineering in general. Delighted me when I found someone also interested in Scotlands once great Industrial past.
A fantastic interview with a national treasure now sadly departed who clearly knew how to make a telling political point laced with humour. May he rest in peace.
A larger-than-life personality, very funny and also most humble. If you haven't seen the series Coltrane's Planes and Automobiles, give it a watch. It shows his passion for engines and is extremely well presented. RIP.
This is why Parkinson was the Master and Ross is an idiot. Parkinson listens and Ross only listens to himself. It’s obvious that Robbie is basically a shy man, but Parky lets him control the interview without letting him take control. All his guests look comfortable except those that want to control it.
Parkinson’s awful. “Are people who tell racist jokes racist themselves?” What do you think, Michael? A dreadful interviewer of women, too. As I’m sure Helen Mirren and Meg Ryan would attest. Robbie by contrast is and was an absolute dream. So sad that he’s gone 😢
@@alexandrafernandes114 Yes Parky seemed to really have it in for Meg, surely he could see she was ill at ease and seemed to be goading her.And the way he was so rude and cringe to Helen was dreadful and sexist.
Ben Elton is not funny. Howerd, Dawson, Cooper, Hill were superb. This was filmed around the ‘alternative comedy’ period and were not particularly clever or funny
he can be the nicest man in the world but behind the mask he is an aristocrat, and more than likely a narcissist, I would take a punt and say he was probably like fitz from cracker in real life.
