Yes, in future always put "remembering" or "rip" in these videos. Otherwise whenever you post an old video everyone jumps to the conclusion that the person died.

The Young Ones, The Comic Strip Presents, Blackadder, Frasier... even with the smallest TV roles, he showed the biggest commitment. He never phoned it in.

I really like that they don't cut out the extra bits you see at the end of this video. They really take you back to what else was going on at that time.

He's a guy who could play any role and make it seem natural. Hagrid was a rather simplistic (if exotic) character, but even within that role he showed a lot of range. I'll miss him, but we've got a huge catalog of his work to enjoy.

@@rasierdotcom I would actually pay to see that! It would be hilarious at first, but then I think he'd knock it out of the park, and at some point we'd look past the size thing. I think Robbie could have done that. He could never look like him, but I think he could have played the role with sensitivity, sincerity, and even credibility.

I'll always remember him from "The Comic Strip Presents". A great show and a great part of my youth. One of those shows that your parents didn't get but all of us "kids" loved. He was a great actor and comic. He was fantastic in a small part as Falstaff in Henry V.

Interestingly his first movie was Deathwatch (1980), with Harvey Keitel and Harry Dean Stanton, a sort of gloom and doom dystopia along the themes of, but 18 years before, The Truman Show.

In Nuns on the Run he and Eric Idle played cross dressing criminal/nuns Sister Euphemia of the Five Wounds (Idle) and Sister Inviolata of the Immaculate Conception. Suberb. Everyone should watch it in honour of this superb man.

It was produced by George Harrisons hand made film company. Other notable films include the the Life of Brian, Time Bandits, Mona Lisa(also starting Coltrane) the Long Good Friday, With nail and I and how to get a head in advertising. if you like great British cinema. I couldn't recommend these films more. All Cult Classics. X

There would b no Life of Brian if not for George Harrison. He re morgaged his house to give the Pythons 4 million. He said he gave the money simply because he wanted to see the film!ha. The Pythons joked it was the most expensive film ticket in history. He also has a cameo in the film

@@4seeableTV It was a conversion of 20 stone. 20 stone x 14 lbs/stone = 280 lbs. If anyone rounded down it was Robbie, but he's the one who said 300 lbs. (400 lbs - 28.6 stone.) I truly am surprised at how tall Robbie was. I think Dave is like 6'5"? Really tall.
