I completed second service. They drained engine oil complete, brake oil and replaced. Wheel alignment and balancing brought lot of difference . I use to do wheel alignment outside but was never satisfied. But skoda showroom did it perfect. When asked they said as per SOP they have specific values for rapid, superb, Octavia which is company specified which outsiders will not know. That's y the wheel alignment is not perfect outside. Another problem spurted out at 30k kms is ABS sensor. Luckily covered in warranty. I haven't done after after market shocks yet...this car itches me to push hard but I feel the suspension is on softer side.
I think it is better to stick to company recommendations till car is in warranty. And if you are finding its suspension on softer side, you might have come from Fiat or any old VW/Skoda car. I, switching to Rapid from Swift, find its suspension on stiffer side and it gives me the confidence of going 190+ easily.
Hi, thanks. As far as these engine additives are concerned, you will get conflicting responses about Pros and Cons on the internet. There is a long thread of discussion on team BHP website as well. Cera Tech looks like a superior product if you compare a number of resources available on the internet. However, I have a conservative approach when it comes to using non OEM products in the car, so i may not be the right person on the subject.
Earlier, I used to use normal 91 RON petrol. But recommended fuel is XP95 or higher. So, switched to XP95 long back. Mileage and Top speed, both have increased now
My 1lt rapid also costs3k for first service. But 2nd service I replace the oil with Mobil 1 5w40 full synthetic oil and there was huge difference huge.
As per page no 11 of Rapid TSI brochure, Multi functional display of travelling time, distance travelled, avg speed, immediate consumption, avg consumption, travel distance before refuelling, service interval, outside temperature and clock are NOT available in Rider and Rider plus version.
