I have no doubts about the technology behind VW products. It’s undoubtedly world class. The only issue till date was the post sales service and maintenance liability which now have been adequately addressed by the company. So it’s a clear win win situation for a VW owner.

If you observe closely at 13:17 in the video, you will notice that the cost of drain plug (Rs. 143) is higher than the cost of Oil filter (Rs. 109) which is absolutely ridiculous to say the least. By the way, VW has designed drain plug in such a way that you cannot remove and replace washer in the plug and have to pay for that super expensive new drain plug. No other company does this. Simply replace the washer in the plug and be done with it - when Toyota can recommend changing washer in the plug why can't VW.

Always people are in doubtful scenario when talk about Vw service and part cost. Still many people are in doubt, vw service cost 12000/- to 15000/-. Old days are gone guys really, diesel are gone. Now vw Cars are in petrol. And these SERVICE VALUE PACK will really help to new vw user to trust in brand for long lasting. Volkswagen gave cherry on cake to all Existing Vw users and fresh users. Thanks to Volkswagen, thinking about Indian Buyer, which is always worried for after purchase cost. One more suggestion to Volkswagen, as warrenty is extended upto 7 years, VW should also need to give extension of Service value pack upto 7 years, if any one already took service pack of 4 or 5 years while purchasing. For more spreading in Volkswagen customers and for open market customers, dealers need to run such kind of informative video at their respective dealerships showroom, service centres and on TVC. Because people are still less informative about vw after sale cost, which actually reduced now.

Question specific on 5 year SVP/ Hi5 for Taigun 1.0 tsi mt: If 4 year SVP is for taigun 1.0 tsi mt is 23K, then why all of sudden 5 year package cost almost double to 43K.? Can anyone help understand this difference.?? Much appreciate if anyone can answer this..

In our Chaotic Indian City Traffic small accidents do happen & most of the time it's front or rear bumpers, head lamps & tail lamps which gets damaged. What are the present prices for replacements. Is it comparable with the competition cars. In India it's easier to buy a Car but very difficult to maintain it. Unless if the Spares are affordable & Labour charges are reasonable when compared to competition.

Very informative cost on Services. But why do you count the 1st year when there is no labour charges involved. It has to start with 2nd, 3rd & 4th year & totals is ₹24,097 that's equal to ₹8,000 approx. Per year. Cost of Maintenances increases after 4 years for sure in all Cars. Like ford you Should have shared cost of Services from 2nd to 10th year for a clearer Pic. Do appreciate & Thank VW for reducing the cost of Spares, Oil & Labour Charges in the interest of dear Customers. Its never too late to realise your own mistakes of over charging in the past. Hope apart from all the above Service Stns milks customers on regular basis they do not keep adding Polishing, Underbody Coating, Decarbonising, Disc brake wiping, etc........ As a Customer VW should give a printed schedule of when to get all the above done & its cost. So as to know the Service Stns are not taking them for a big Ride unnecessarily or out of turn.

Lifetime Gear Oil is a very ambiguous statement. How do you define lifetime? If it's the warranty period, then it's a marketing gimmick only. No oil is lifetime in literal sense. The ideal recommendation should be to change gear oil every 40 - 50k kms from my experience with VW cars if you want to keep your car in top shape beyond warranty period.
