Do you have a broken foot, stress fracture, sprained ankle, Achilles tendon tear, broken toe, pulled calf muscle, shin splints, or another lower leg injury that prevents you from using your feet, ankles, or calves when you work out??? Then this video is for YOU. Join Fitness and Wellness expert Caroline Jordan for this strength training workout you can do while recovering from a foot or ankle injury. With a little creativity (and the OK from your doctor!) YOU CAN WORK OUT WHILE INJURED. This 10-minute exercise video will train your chest, arms, abs, butt, and legs without putting pressure on your feet or ankles. The exercises in this workout routine include:
- Pushups
- Planks
- Hip Extension (butt / hamstring)
- Hip Circles
- Leg lifts
- Straight leg hamstring bridge
To do this video you will first need to check with your doctor and physical therapist. Honor your body and train smart and you will recover from your injury fast! You can repeat this video daily or as many times as your doctor says is OK :)
You can also do this video for upper body strength when you are not injured - it's still a great workout!! Leave a comment below and

Omg thank you so much. Broke my foot almost 1 week ago and have been freakin out about gaining weight (I was just start to diet and exercise before the injury). thank you so much for this series of videos. i am still recovering from many injuries to my ankle, i actually found this when i was in a boot for 8 weeks.then i got my ankle ran over by a car the next day after i got the boot off that was in june and im still having trouble but this has definitely helped

Caroline Jordan I love u so much my chore got way stronger it was really strong before I'm really tall it's just that my friend he's like am inch taller than me and in football he would have more strength than me so now I want to beat him in strength

I know this is meant for those recovering from foot injury but I thank you more than I can adequately express! I had a severe knee injury that resulted in perineal nerve damage and I have foot drop. It seems like NO ONE had exercises that took ppl like me into consideration. I've been depressed and getting obese ( literally ). This means I can start getting back into shape. Bless you!!!!!!

Hang in there gamma, I was in a car accident in march and developed my own neuropathy and drop foot, and my out bout of depression and out bursts as a result of feeling isolated and unable to do things I liked doing. This workout looks to be perfect for our condition so we can do it! Just gotta push through

I have been using this workout for two weeks now and love it! I run through it 3 times and twice on rest days. I'm a long distance runner recovering from a fractured foot/swollen ankle. (Was hit by a car on my run at a crosswalk. ) this video helps so much as I recover and wait to get back on the road!

Caroline I can say I am the queen of foot injuries for 2017. I had four surgeries, bunions and etc this year. Your videos were my only go to, usually about two weeks afterneach surgery. I can not say how grateful I am to those. originally I tried to search something and I could not believe the number of options for hurt foot people. But thank you thank you for creating these workouts.

Thanks so much Caroline! I'm recovering from my FOURTH double-foot operation, and I really needed this for my body and mind! Luckily I havent really gained weight, but I lost all the muscle in my legs :( Not being able to work out (or just be able to walk or go outside) has been depressing to say the least.

I sprained my ankle yesterday from dancing/working out and I was super upset when they told me that I would have to wait atleast a week to start even putting pressure on my foot. Now that I found this video it will be replacing my old workouts with this until I get better. Thanks :)

I am so happy to have found your workouts. I have genetically weak ankles and high arches that have helped lead to plantar fasciitis and sesamoiditis both of which are aggravated with many normal workout routines. The minute I start jumping or doing anything high impact, my foot gets so painful and I cannot walk. This most recent time, I have been lame for over a month despite booting stretching, orthotics, etc. It is so frustrating because I used to be able to do some crazy fitness programs, but now I can barely move without hurting myself and being laid up for some time. I've never been a runner since I sprain my ankles easily, but I was happy doing other forms of exercise. But now I see all my friends doing Cross Fit, Insanity, etc and I feel like a failure for not being able to move without hurting myself even when I do the exercises correctly. I all but gave up on getting in shape, but these exercises give me some hope!

Thanks so much! I have acute Achilles Tendonitis and unfortunately I kept working out my legs at the gym 😟 since I was getting worse I finally realized I had to find other ways to exercise my legs......no more squats, lunges etc. I feel SO much happier knowing I can still work my legs at home for now. At 72 you can’t take a break lol

I am a pretty active person and twisted my ankle a couple days ago. Was very skeptical whether a workout could actually be a workout without using your feet, but this had my butt on fire. Thanks so much Caroline! Will definitely be using this one and some of your other workouts as my foot heals. :)

It's been 3 weeks since a girl in a car ran over my Hubbs & I on our motorcycle. (I've a fractured hand, that is healing well enough to perform the exercises in this vid) and my forefoot has multiple fractures. I am a ballet dancer, and was DEVASTATED that my lower body was just going to atrophy! I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS! God Bless! p.s.- i truly am trying to stay positive! ♡

Hi Caroline, I love this video and have done it so many times. The best part is that it’s only 11 minutes, but still a butt kicker. I love your longer videos too, but sometimes I want something short like this one when I’ve just finished a long and/or really tough cardio workout. Do you have any other floor workout videos that are about this length that you can direct me to? If not, could you make another one like this one so I can switch back and forth? Thank you!!

Haven't been able to do any jumping etc for about 4 months due to, what I think, is a broken little toe in my foot. This has been extremely frustrating as I love tabata and Hiit conditioning style workouts. This has been great, wish I'd discovered it earlier. Thank you.

Sprained my ankle and tore all of my tendons and ligaments in a basketball game about a month ago. Ive gained some weight and was really feeling down about not getting to do anything that i would usually do to keep healthy. Really hoping this works when i start this as a new routine tomorrow!

I've been doing this workout for 2 weeks now-- it's great so thank you so much Caroline because I feel less miserable about my injured ankle and still can workout and sweat out that frustration.

you come to the internet for a quick solution to your workout needs and first thing everyone says its first check with your Doctor.. book an appointment wait for 1 month and then go there and catch covid and boredom in the process. Im joking im gonna do this today i checked with my toe and its fine. Just kiddin- grumpy has done the workout and feel much better- not grumpy anymore. Its short but intense! Thanks dear Caroline

I recently broke my fifth metatarsal on my right foot and I found this AMAZING video! Thank you so much for sharing this exercise to help those with different limitations still stay fit!!
