Part 1 Spider-Man Key Comics You Need for Your Collection 

Old silver age guy here. I wish I could just run out and get AF #15 and ASM #1. I looked and dug for those in the sixties as a kid and never found them. I have never seen one to this day, as I live in a rural area of Montana. I am going to Denver on vacation shortly, and planning on going to Mile High Comics too see these 2 books (and others) on display there. Maybe I will take a an extra $100,000 or so and buy them there! I would certainly have had the first stories of Spidey's major foes on your list, but I assume that you were trying to cover a wider range of periods of the history of the character.

I'm currently reading 252 through to 258, but I've got them as novels. Kinda glad in a way because I would not be reading the original comics if I had them. Bag board and lock away 😂

I had no idea about that Journey Into Mystery book, and I've been collecting Spider-Man comics since 1990.

Its great you mentioned ASM #96-98 because it did lead to a loosening of the CCA in 1971. The US Department of Health, Education and Welfare actually requested that Marvel do a story about drug abuse which led to those issues going forward. I didn't know this until I looked it up, but the CCA officially dissolved about 10 years ago, and the very group set up to defend comics, The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, bought all the intellectual property of the code and seal!

Nice list. One note for you would be that Secret Wars #8 actually came out a month or two after Amazing Spider-Man #258 not between ASM 252 and ASM 258.
