Part 2: 3D Printed "DJI Inspire One"-style Drone - Printing all the parts 

It would be even better if I put the camera in front of the printer for this so it'd have a better angle. However the location where the camera is now is "permanent" so I can always have that view. I'd just have to set it up the other way temporarily if I want a nicer time lapse.

There are several people on the rcgroups.com forum working on improving the landing gear movement.. from using regular motors, or stepper motors, or different kinds of threaded rods. I'm still waiting to see how they all turn out. There are a lot of issues with this project currently. I am hoping to get my next video part out soon so people realize it before they get started. I think in a month or two a lot of these kinks will be worked out by the community, who have already been providing everyone with modified STL files to fix some of the problems.

It seems that all the CF tubes come from China. I ordered mine from an ebay seller that carried all 3 sizes, and when they arrived 2 weeks later 2 of the 3 weren't the size I ordered.

It is still in progress. I received my CF tubes from china a couple days ago after waiting 2 weeks and they were the wrong size. I am hoping to have the part 3 video uploaded in the next 10-12 days. There are some people on the forums modifying some of the printed parts to work better for them. I did the same with at least 1 of the parts. I also had to re-print 9hrs worth of parts last night after breaking a few things by not being careful.

The frame is the big part. It probably wouldn't fit. There are some newer versions of this copter that may have smaller parts that would work. Check the newer rcgroups.com thread. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2399740

+danielhecker there are also some people offering printing services for this project. you could get someone else to make any parts that won't fit your printer.

Yes because don't forget if u build it yourself you can customize it any way you want. Longer flight times, open hacks, whatever you like

+satgod however like he said building an inspire is NOT easy. If u are planning on building a scale model, u have to worry about sensors, gps, servo function for the arms, a DECENT. Flight control board etc. u have to b VERY tech smart for this shit 🤔😆

Your point of customizing it is a good point and that is what led me to this in the first place
