Glad that you are showing video on propagating pandan. What potting mix do I use when I reproduce a young pandan? Mine tend to die whenever I repot them, the leaves dried up. I do have lots of small young plants growing around my pandan, but I am too scare to pull them out because they tend to die when I repot them.

I use a standard store-bought "seed and cutting raising mix". You may be over or under-watering. However something I was going to mention in Part 5 may interest you and I haven't got to it yet. You might have a go with a couple of plants and see how it goes for you. I haven't tried this myself which is why I didn't put in in Part 2 but I've read that you can start young plants in a glass of water and this reduces the risk of them dying. This advice was specifically for small cuttings you take off the top of a plant weeks after you've taken a major cutting off but I think it should also work for all plants including rooted cuttings. Change water once or twice a day. Once they develop good roots, pot them up. If your plants are in-ground it would be hard to get significant roots without digging a mighty hole. Give the cup method a go. If you're doing several plants I'd use separate cups..

My pandan tend to have mealy bugs, could you please show how to prevent it, what is the best way to deal with it as I don't want to use chemical insecticide. Thank you.

Sorry Yuriko - I've never had to deal with an infestation and I'm not your guy for that inormation. I'm pretty sure I've been told physical removal is the best way to get rid of them but with all the nooks and crannys on Pandan plants...it'd be pretty tough. And watching out for the occasional spikes on the leaves...
