Hi Hazlin. Good to hear from you. I'll be doing more gardening videos. I'd have posted more but other unexpected jobs have been taking up most of my time. Spring is just around the corner and I'm trying to get ready. I hope pandan grows well for you - I'm pretty sure it'd love the Malaysian climate!

Great video! What is the dimension of the 300ml, 1L and 4.5L pots?

Hi Ting. Diameters at the top are 75mm, 125mm and 200mm. But similar would work. Hope this helps. Cheers, Murray.

How is Pandanus used medically????

Pandan is usually made into a tea. It can greatly help with osteoarthritis, it's good for blood pressure and a bunch of other things. Chop it, boil it for 10-20 mins and drink the liquid. You may make several "doses" at once and divide them up for future use. I don't know about Pandanus which is different from Pandan.

I live in the southern US and have a giant screw pine. It is very messy and is right out my front door. Is there something I can give it nutrient wise to keep it from loosing so many leaves, or is that the nature of the plant? Also mine has never gotten cones. It was planted in the 70's. It's as tall as my house.

I'm afraid it's the nature of the plant. They're used to very poor soils and harsh conditions - if it's the Pandanus tectorius I'm familiar with. They lose a lot of leaves, look untidy if you don't remove the dead leaves and the leaves are spikey sods. I hope it's not messing with your gutters.

What combination of soil is good for pandan plant?

I use a store-bought potting mix. Other than that pandan likes a standard well-drained soil (not cactus mix drainage, just normal). Cheers, Murray.

How many months you change the size of the pot.

It depends - they grow faster in the warmer months so sooner in warmer weather. But I'll do it when I think they may have exhausted the nutrients in their pots too - so 4 months or so as a rough guide, though I'm not strict about it. Cheers, Murray.
