Thank you for this video series. I'm reinstalling my aftermarket audio in my 2011 tC. The first time I did was ... not so great. It worked for many years but it was less than ideal. Now I can do it correctly and make it look as professional as possible.
This has become my favorite car audio channel period. Super straight forward, very knowledgeable and informative, great content, and down to earth. Love the new build. Can't wait to see it complete.
@@NextLevelCarAudiohow did the alternator hold up against the 8000 watt amp. I’ve got a sundown salt 4k & a Rockford t600-4. Hoping a 240 will be enough.
Nice work man. I ran my power and grounds under the car. I know what it took to do it the way you did and I appreciate you doing it right. I need to do a couple more grounds now lol. Looking forward to the next one 😀
Clean Install. Like the fuse holder bracket idea I might use that on my build. Where do you get your wire loom covering from? It make the under hood look clean. So I can get some to clean up my under hood Area. Thanks . I have 1 of those d4s L.T.O's works great and I have 2 more going in my upgrade soon. Love you videos
Awesome! My next video tomorrow is me reviewing my D4S LTO’s. I got the wire looming on Amazon. Had to dig a little to find it, but they have all different colors
@@NextLevelCarAudio I heard you could run em no problem, I was also told this Concept Enclosure box was designed for 12 Xv2s lol Turbulent Designs box should sound better
Does it make a big difference running the ground from alternator to the back battery, I have 2x runs of 2/0 from secondary battery to back fuse block. Should I run them from alternator to back ?
@@NextLevelCarAudio when I get my 370 alt I’ll do that ! Appreciate the info. Was going to build yinglong bank, but may just got with that D4s battery now I seen yours. I have smart 5k, skar rp1k on highs and crescendo concerto 2k on mids and 2x d3400 under hood
I have the same exact alternator on my Toyota Camry which has the same motor but every time I turn my AC on at a stoplight when the car is in gear my tensioner goes ballistic and makes horrible noises I've tried three different tensioners and none of it fixes it and I have the same exact belt you have also do you have any ideas what could be causing it
That is weird! I have not had any issues with any noises yet. I would say tensioner but you already swapped it. Man, not sure brother. If in think of anything I’ll hit you up. Sorry :/
I kept having to tighten up my tensioner over and over until there was no more slack. Kept getting that loud squeal when taking off with AC on. Got a 320 alt from auto tech engineering and went a half inch belt smaller. I get a little squeal when turning on the car or when the vehicle is cold but stops after car is warmed up. I got like half an inch of slack left on tensioner left and re tightening again later on today and hopefully that eleminates the sqeaul for good.
What do you mean seal off? It’s sealed inside of the air box like it is supposed to be. The fuse holder is not mounted to the air box so can access the air filter anytime I want. Was just easier to swap the filter before installing my fuse shelf/ bracket so Took care of it before hand
@@NextLevelCarAudio I thought you sealed it in. Atleast that's what it looked like in the video. Good to know it wasn't. Thanks for the knowledge base you created man. I watched almost all your car audio videos from builds to tuning. Am even watching the one with you and your son giving us advise and how not to make mistakes when your reply pops up.
Okay,,, I wonder how much the amperage and voltage is going to suffer from that much resistance to the circuit ,,do you plan on putting a meter to check for losses I'm asking because I've never had this problem and plan on doing an upgrade to the old ladies Equinox
If your doing a smaller build then your not going to have any problems. But if running 5k, 8k, 10k+ oh yeah, multiple direct runs are best and will give you the highest amperage transfer with the least ammount of resistance.
