Part 31 of the R8 Rover 216 GTi twincam restoration vlog.
At last after nearly a year of false starts, delays, Covid, bad weather, no spare time, small budget and lack of NOS panels, I've finally finished all the welding on the driver's side (offside) of the car.
Needless to say, having to weld upside down using a old Mig welder that wasn't much good when it was new also added to the 'challenges' of restoring a car in a domestic garage without proper bodyshop tools.
And to think - I've got to do all this again when I start work on the passenger side of the Rover...

Thank you. Yes - I think the sill around rear jacking point is worse judging by what I can see from underneath the car. May have to invest in the repair panels now being sold by the Rover owners club.
