@nightsong348 What's sadder is that it actually happened. They actually forced Louis to accuse his mother and his aunt of incest with him. It's not clear whether he actually came to believe it or not. Not clear to me at least...maybe someone knows.
It has been 3 years since I left that comment about it breaking my heart when he says she can never know and can never be trusted. And 3 years later it still fucking hurts. That moment is brutal. I know, I know, they end up together happily ever after. But whoa.
Please, please post the wedding dance all together! Post it separately or whatever, but please! don't cut it off like that! An another note, this is one of the best stories of all time. Many props to you for posting it!
The way the Scarlet Pimpernel conceals his identity reminds me of the D.C. superheroes. Just like Sir Percy acting like a silly fop, Bruce Wayne acted like a drunken playboy so no one would think he might be Batman, Clark Kent acted like a nerdy weakling so no one would think of Superman and Barry Allen was always late so no one would think he was the Flash. While D.C. guys were always way more one-dimensional than Marvel guys, I always likeed their regular life identities better.
