In this video I do the first pellet selection test after fitting a Robert Lane Regulator to my Reximex Regime. It is worth considering that pellets that perform well before fitting a regulator can change in the way they perform afterwards, and a different pellet can become the new top dog. In this test I try 13 different pellet types, but only one of the 13 did not perform well. The rest were quite good, with some being really good. The tests were carried out at 20 yards. This is a good distance for seeing if you have a rifle suitable for ratting and close range work, and eliminates any pellet not performing well from further testing. From this test 12 pellets will go forward to be tested at 30 yards and 40 yards at Tinsley Park Shooting Club, but before that is done you will see in the Part Two video on how I fitted the regulator and tuned the rifle.

That's gorra be the most least pellet fussy rifle ive EVER seen tested .. yes , a further 10 & 20 mtrs will make a difference .. but 20 mtrs .. spot on ... id have bet me house on the HADES letting the side down .. awful pellets , ironically excellent in .22 .. but they ARE a different profile .. yeah .. very interesting vid ..

professional vid and its a lots of work , but it is only for the gun you use , its always try yourself with pellets and slugs and gun , i think test weight ,diameter metal hardness and shape of pellets ,is a good starting point to test pellets or slugs,,and of overal quality i think the barrel needs a check up , or polish . because at that short distance the groups are by some brands to big

Another cracking video 👍 going to have to try those terminators in my ixia, it loves the JSB heavies. Tried the FTT last weekend and going to have to have a longer go this weekend with they both cos they were very similar results.

Morning Mark, nice shooting and good to see the Terminators doing well. Your magazines don't seem tight to load where as the Ixia had really tight fiddly magazines to locate. The single shot tray was good but as you pointed out you had to be careful to check the pellet hadn't ended up the wrong way !! Easy to miss with my eyes! Oddly whilst the manual was pretty good tge were some errors like most Reximex load from the rught and this is what was stated in the manual for the Ixia however it actually loads from the left ! But the single shot tray loads from the right a little confusing. I see in America they have the Throne (Ixia) 2nd generation I reckon we are having all the problem first gens sent to us, hence so many issues with the Ixia's here. My local gun shop tells me he's sent three back recently. 🤬🤬 So annoying as it's a cracking looking gun and a great price if you can get one that works ! Look forword to your next video and pushing the pellet tests out at the range 😎

Never noticed that it said that in the manual. But it doe’s you’re quite right, guess I never read it cos I knew it loaded from the left. I bought a magazine from JCE far superior to the standard mags

Great information Mark, have you tried the new 13.3 grain QYS Magnums, like a JSB new design heavy on steroids. Looks almost like a slug with a skirt, they shoot great at shorter ~50Y ranges and pack a wallop. PM me if you want some...
