Great little bit on the amsoil saber that you brought up. Same thing applies to the guys running 100:1/50:1 etc on these high rpm engines. They'll run ok with it but you'll see why the extra oil (and quality) matters when you are constantly rebuilding them.
Most of my engines are modified quality engines but I also do have cheap Chinese engines and they all take a beating and last longer than 3 years without any rebuilds at all unlike most my friends that run crazy mix ratios that rebuild there engines every year before the race season starts ! I can even do a video one day of all of my many friends that drag race and let them speak for themselves from the guys that rebuild there engine every year and some even twice a year to the guys that don’t rebuild at all like myself and KDT Innovations and EVO76 and a few others
Keep the awesome vids comin man. I had a question, is it fine to use gas with ethanol in it, because the only place I know of near me that sells ethanol free gas is vp racing of Long Beach which is about an hour and 20 minutes out
I just ordered my rovan baja. Id like to use vp c9 also. What do you recommend my mix ratio using amsoil dominator should be idk if this would be helpful but i live in florida where its always warm climate lol.
Can you break these in using 28:1with amsoil dominator 2 cycle or do you have to use 25:1 to break these in. I got the 30.5cc version. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes you can just keep it rich a little on carb but don’t let it stall out . Remove the wheels and secure it on a stand and let her run !! Do 4 heat cycles then burn 🔥 the rest of the 1st gallon off but at a good rpm so it won’t stall out on you! Then throw wheels back on and take her for a spin and get some full throttle runs in so you can listen to it so you can adjust your high speed needle either richer or leaner so the engine sounds good 👌
I use VP C12 for my 90gt! that is the recomended spec. I spoke to someone with OBR He told me not to use the VP c12 for there engines, because it is leaded and the carbon builds up quickly. He told me to keep it at no more than 100 octane! Whats your take on this?
All you need for most of OBR engines and many other engine builders is 100 octane and lower. That’s because the higher the octane the slower the burn. Those Zenoah and CY type engines will make most power with lower octane. Using Leaded fuel back in the day or even today is great protection for our 2 stroke engines but now with awesome oil like DOMINATOR Oil from AMSOIL there is no need for leaded fuels anymore unless you prefer to use it. I have friends with RCMAX engines running great and kicking ass and running cooler on Lead Free fuel with Amsoil Dominator Oil for the past 2 years now
@@BOTAJELL thanks that's great to know! Once I'm done with my VP I'm gonna switch to cam2. I tried 93shell with dominator for my motor and it kept ripping my hand back hard on pull start even with a new compression valve! The VP 12c works great with no ripcord effect but expensive.
Yes you can But why would you ? Especially if your engine is stock . Even modified that’s still to high unless your compression is really, really high !
Hi botajell, I got a king motor km 002 30.5cc baja a couple months ago and I’m having problems with it. I keep fouling spark plugs (about once a week) and I’m not sure what to do. I’ve tuned my car on factory settings and other settings and it still kills plugs. I run a 25:1 fuel-oil ratio with Kawasaki 2 stroke oil. I’m not sure if it is the oil but if you could help me out that would be great.
Hey brother long time viewer. Do you know much about MCD Racing buggies? Been looking at a RR5 I believe. Great to see a new buggy in the garage even if it’s not yours lol 👍🇨🇦👋. I’ll have to get one of those 1/5 stands if not a good one at least the cheap Rigid as it’s a pain to bend over always a bench. O and the duramax sounds awesome! That’s in my next pickup for sure
Any RC From MCD is great 👍 ! Thanks about my Duramax I love that engine and my truck aswell ! It’s getting old but I will have it for many more years to come !
Me too I love VP fuels NO ?’s!! I used to use Lots of VP fuels back in the day on my Race CAMARO I used to have and my race Corvette I still have today that’s been sitting for 6 years now and I used to use VP fuels on my extended swing arm drag banshee I used to have and on some of my other sport ATVs . I also have used Sunoco fuels aswell.
93 at the pump in the USA 🇺🇸 is terrible to use thanks to the ethanol that’s inside of it! It will damage our fuel lines , grommets, and diaphragms in carburetors. Ethanol free 93 will be fine to use if you can find it
Haha so do I 🤣😂!! I’d like another 2 of them 😭🤣Not gonna Lie!! There will be 6 of them up at Rovan RC for sale soon so keep an eye 👁 out for them or E mail dan for one hopefully he can save you one?? Or you will have to wait another month like me ! Dan is out of the stock piston port45’s that Chris Bartolone will need the heads off them so he can modify them and then stick them on top of his modified Quality ReedCase ! Hang in there ! It’s really going to happen and I still can’t believe it but it’s all true!
Yes NO ?’s plus lots more !! This will be a great 👍 series for newbies starting in this hobby and a great one to pass around because these 4 parts will cover everything from start to finish!
@@BOTAJELL thank you and I am looking forward to this series of videos.I want to break in the engine properly.I received my Dominator oil.I didn't purchase any extra parts because I don't know what I may or may not need.
Steve kokkinidis sounds like your already going to be well prepared ! That’s awesome stuff ! Not many people out there nowadays that think ahead to perform a job well done anymore . I appreciate you being a Brapp Brother of mine 🤝💥👊💥🤜🤛
@@BOTAJELL thanks again I have watched your channel for some time.I just bought my first battery powered truck 2 months ago and now this will be my first gas truck.I was a bit nervous about buying a gas truck.I figured that running a gas truck is a huge headache. In your videos you make it seem so easy and you are always helping people out by teaching them the basics.I figured it can't be that hard I just have to follow instructions.
